Anyone else waiting for London Marathon Ballot results?

Emails coming today apparently. I’ve entered every year since 2009 with no luck! One year I entered on behalf of my (now) DH...and he only got a bloody place on his first attempt 😂
So...year 12 for me...anyone else waiting?

I entered and got the confirmation page, but never received the confirmation email. I contacted them three times, once a couple of weeks ago, to check that I was actually registered, but got no response, so I'm not sure whether I will even get a yes/no email at all.

@DietrichandDiMaggio did you enter the ballot or apply for Good for Age? I think GFA are generally confirmed earlier? The ballot results aren’t out until today.
I’ll never be fast enough for GFA (or maybe when I am 80!)

The ballot. I got the page saying 'Congratulations you've entered the ballot', but no email. There was a facility to check your registration ( that's changed now) , but without an email I had no reference number to put in, so who knows?

Yes waiting here. DP has entered too. Being an ultra runner he thinks he's too cool for the LM. No doubt he'll get a place then!

Yes, me too - ran it with a charity place in 2005 and have entered the ballot pretty much every year since with no luck!

This is my 18th year. Never got a place yet so not expecting one this year. Currently 7 months pregnant so Sod's law says I'll get in. Somehow I forgot I was already pregnant when I entered Confused

Haha @Sailor2009 I'm also 7m pregnant and wondering what possessed me to enter.. other than it's just what I do. Think this is the 6th time of trying!

@glastogal same here. Habit more than anything at this point. I've just had the email but it looks like the bloody website has crashed so I'm still in limbo.

Yep...server not responding...I got my email too. You would think it would kill them to put the actual result in the email?!

Why on earth they couldn't have just sent 'sorry no' emails as they have in previous years is beyond me

Still trying to get in, and will find out response at some point

Bit is a shambles really.

Unless you have stress tested your website up to about 0.5 million, don't send out a much-awaited link for that number of people to click on, as they'll all do it straight away!

I haven't had an email yet. I think something must have gone wrong when I entered the ballot and that's why I didn't get the confirmation email. Just annoyed that I tried to contact them 3 times in between then and now to find out if I actually was registered, and got no reply to any of them.
I think they haven't sent yes or no in the emails because they want people to go to the website and register for the virtual race if they haven't got in.

I managed to get onto the website after 10 minutes of constant refreshing. Didn't get in. I don't quite get why they couldn't say that in the email.

Its a bit of a relief though. I'd signed up to 2 halfs last year pre covid, both of which have been postponed to this October. I was a bit worried about doing a marathon and 2 halfs in the same month...

I'm kind of assuming that the queue is for the much more numerous 'sorry no thanks' page, but I've still not been able to get in to seal my doom. But I did bequeath my fee this year, so I get a training top out of it

Another no. Sort of relieved giving birth in March and running a marathon in October might have been pushing it a bit. Maybe an autumn half instead Grin

In all honesty though, I'm not too sad this time (5th try I think). There's still a big question mark as to whether it will go ahead anyway. If running events are back on, I'm already doing 3 postponed half-marathons in Sept and Oct (Great North, Cardiff and Royal Parks) so this would've killed me off!

Rejection for me too. I think this is the first year I'm not overly bothered. I have so many races rescheduled from last year.
