14 day hiit challenge? Anyone fancy it?

I've just been reading a book called the Hiit Bible and it has various workouts/exercises/challenges- I thought I'd do a 14 day hiit challenge before I go on holiday. Anyone fancy doing it with me and tracking on this thread for a bit of moral support and encouragement? You could do any Hiit workout you like (Jillian, YouTube workouts, treadmill/bike intervals etc)

I already run a fair bit, and do a circuits class once or twice a week, but I like the idea of a short sharp 20 mins shock each day. I will do my measurements later, and maybe even a pre-challenge selfie to compare with afterwards!

✔️day 13 done, 90 minutes double circuits class.

Tomorrow is my last day, I will do the 5 minutes hiit test from day one and see if my score has improved, plus do my measurements

Day 14- haven't done the workout yet, but did do my final measurements.

I've lost around 6.5lbs during these 14 days although I did go up and down as my birthday fell slap bang in the middle. My highest weight during the 14 days was 10.10 (Sunday) and today I'm 10.3.5- so very pleased with that
Inches wise- I have lost an inch on my tummy and an inch on my hips, plus gained a half inch at my waist which I think is due to doing some serious ab crunches and sit-ups. I have noticed also the beginnings of some definition on my torso although it is masked slightly by my post baby tummy.
Fitness wise- I have definitely noticed an improvement in my strength, in my class yesterday I felt surprisingly fit despite the 30* heat, plus while running I have had more prolonged bursts of hi intensity.

I will definitely keep doing the exercise, there's a 28 day programme in the book which I might try after my holiday!

✔️day 14 done! That's a wrap

In the 5 minute hiit test (5 exercises, 1 minute work/1 minute rest) that I did at the start I managed 137 reps; this morning I've done 168 reps - an improvement of around 18-19%

Job done Smile

Well done!

My own project has slightly fallen by the wayside, but I seem to be losing weight anyway as I’m less inclined to eat in the heat.

Well done!

Well done. I had 14 days on Sunday until my holiday and tried on a few pairs of shorts. While I could close them they weren't very comfortable so I have decided to go all out for the next 14 days. I already do an hour of yoga every morning but i eat way too much shite and am not doing enough aerobic. So on Sunday and Monday i added a run into my day and am cutting out all the crap for the next 2 weeks in the hope that as my stomach seems to be only place I am fat (think 6 months pregnant) that this will be the first place I lose it too and will fit into my shorts. Although I am going to Italy on hols so don't see the pasta, pizza and gellato working in my favour.

Your post has given me some hope that I can drop a few lb. Hope yo enjoy your holiday and well done on keeping it up.

Blood sugar diet and Fast800 thread 15 www.mumsnet.com/Talk/fasting_diet/3593022-blood-sugar-diet-and-fast800-thread-15

Audrina this is the diet thread I'm also on, its for the Fast800 plan/blood sugar diet. It's a high fat/low carb Mediterranean plan so it's lots of simple real food and gets good results especially if you carry fat round your stomach. Feel free to pop in and say Hi!
