If you go to the gym / run etc first thing do you eat anything before hand? I feel lightheaded if I don't but sick if I do!

I get up at 5am, drink 2 pints of water while getting dressed, jog down to the gym, do my workout and jog back. I eat breakfast at 6.45am - greek yoghurt, all bran and a banana. Ideally I would exercise immediately after work but the gym is too busy so I go early. I'm sure it would be better for me to have a protein shake or something at 5am but I tried it and felt so sick it spoiled the whole workout.

I don't eat breakfast. I weight train at lunchtime and eat after that. It works for me.

I don't eat anything before hand as I don't think it's needed, really.

I don't feel hungry or anything at that time as all I've done since dinner the night before is sleep!

small banana and a coffee for me. has to be half an hour before hand, any less and i'd bring it back up doing burpees !

Coffee and a banana, small slice of toast or a biscuit for me. I feel horrendous if I train completely empty. Did 10km with DH (and DS in the buggy) the other morning and I was retching halfway through because I hadn’t eaten! If i’m racing I get up early and have a proper breakfast.

I have at least 2 cups of tea and I have to eat, I get up (when it's not school holidays) at 6.30 and I'm not at the gym until 9 so I always have my poached eggs on toast at about 7.30 .... I do think it's all on my head though, but I wouldn't get breakfast until lunchtime otherwise!
