Anyone waiting on the London ballot?

A week to go till the ballot results are released...

I know there is little chance of getting in but it's beginning to feel like the build up to A level results day....

I'm waiting! Furthest I've ran is 10k so not sure it was a wise move to enter!

I'm waiting! I did it in 2016 when I was younger and fitter so am now questioning why I entered the ballot this time knowing how bloody hard it is

In a moment of madness, I entered.

Part of me has cold feet already IYSWIM as I'm not completely sure I want to do that distance at all (and if I don't get this one, I'm not entering any others). But, but but ......

The idea does appeal, and I've done a lot of 10k events this year and am currently half-marathon fit. If there was ever going to be time to step that up, it'll be this time round.

Anyone know what day they are posting?

It's supposed to be next Monday onwards and contact them if you haven't heard by the end of next week...

Some people will get a magazine and letter, others an email ....

I'm waiting! Five year in a row, and it would be my first marathon.

I'm a stone heavier than I'd like and haven't run as much as I should have in the last 6 weeks since starting a new job, so I have my work cut out!

4th year in a row for me.

Will anyone apply for a charity place if they don’t get in? I’ve been considering it but find the minimum fundraising targets really daunting.

No, I couldn't possibly raise enough for a charity place

I've registered an interest with one charity (for whom I've done one fundraising run before) but they have more expressions of interest than bond places, so I expect they'll go for those they think will raise the most (I don't have an employer to match funds, so I think I'll be well down the priority list)

I am so happy I am not waiting this year.

I entered the ballot last year fully expecting a rejection - then I got in and actually had to run the bloody thing!

I was talking to people at Parkrun this morning.

I think I've decided I really want a ballot place, and right now it's agonising!

I know it's only another weeks to wait, but it's nail biting !!!

Me, my sister, my friend and her brother. My friend thinks one of us will get a place. I'm not holding my breath. I heard it's a 1/18 chance....

My friend and I are both waiting! Did my first half today and really enjoyed it. Not sure I'd be up for doing a full marathon if I don't get into London though!!
