What do you wear to stop vpl when wearing gym leggings?

Long t shirt and don't really gaf anyway!!

NC4Now · 12/05/2018 10:24

I just don’t really care. Or I don’t bother with knickers. Depends on the leggings.

SamHeughansLeftEyebrow · 12/05/2018 10:25

Mine are gusseted (boak) so I don't bother. They go in the wash after every wear anyway.

PickleSarnie · 12/05/2018 10:25

I have decent leggings that don't go see through and figure I'll be too sweaty and knackered to give a shit about VPL

Nuffaluff · 12/05/2018 10:30

Normally I wear these minimal vpl pants that I got from h and m. They’re really thin material, but shorts, so they’re comfy.
Today I’ve just got back from the gym and am wearing my biggest, most secure pair of period pants out of necessity! Vpl galore today.

wizzywig · 12/05/2018 10:50

I wear a long tshirt but they show through them. I wear bog standard adidas leggings. Maybe i need to go on a thong hunt...

I wear no vpl knickers from Asda. They work great.

Pfftlife · 12/05/2018 10:53

I buy g strings from Primark for the gym. They are the thinnest bit of string you've ever seen, actually probably no point in wearing them 🤔 anyway you don't get vpl with them

Jolonglegs · 12/05/2018 10:59

Don't really care about vpl at the gym.

wizzywig · 12/05/2018 11:01

I love the honesty on this website

Either nothing or a cotton thong. No need for knickers really as every thing goes straight in the wash afterwards. Spin in really really uncomfortable wearing knickers I discovered once when I put some on forgetting which class I was going to!

DontCallMeBaby · 12/05/2018 11:02

Big Sloggi pants. Don’t care about VPL but I do care about them twisting and chafing and going up my bum.

M5tothesouthwest · 12/05/2018 11:13

I wear what's comfy and don't give a shit about VPL.

bengalcat · 12/05/2018 11:14

Thong

AuntieStella · 12/05/2018 11:18

Nothing.

Or Uniqlo no-vpl seamless microfibre. Very like Runderwear but about 1/3 of the price.

AnotherOriginalUsername · 12/05/2018 11:19

Commando every time. If you have decent leggings with a gusset and flat seams, you don't need any. Just maybe do a quick squat check in the mirror before venturing out in public.

Extra seams = chafe central

PickleSarnie · 12/05/2018 11:21

Just the thought of wearing a cheese wire thong on the running machine makes me shudder

esk1mo · 12/05/2018 11:28

i wear a thong, but i buy them a size bigger than i usually wear so they’re comfy Smile

fruityb · 13/05/2018 11:52

I wear big pants! But I’m also not bothered in all fairness.

Could not go without - It’d be hideous!

Branleuse · 13/05/2018 11:54

I just wear normal knickers and i couldnt give a flying fuck about vpl. Mine or anyone elses

thetriangleisarealinstrument · 13/05/2018 11:56

Very stretchy and slightly large cotton thongs!

Probably going to get flamed on here for saying that as apparently according to mumsnet they are 'unhygienic' and 'rub on your anus'!!!

btw not once has a thong of mine rubbed on my anus.... I think they are actually really comfortable and practical

higgyyellow · 13/05/2018 12:07

VPL isn't something that has ever bothered me, mainly because pants are a perfectly reasonable item of clothing to wear, so what if people know you are wearing them?

But I am baffled that anyone would care that they were visible in the gym. Just shows you how crazy vanity can make some people. I mean, the gym ffs, it's where people go to exercise. I would be amazed if anyone in the gym took the time to examine someone to see if they were wearing pants!

wizzywig · 13/05/2018 12:12

I'm a blobby sweaty mess in the gym so my pants are the only thing I can think of changing to make a workout more bearable.

StillNoClue · 13/05/2018 12:16

Vpl is the least of my problems at the gym.

I tend to wear shorts over base layer shorts anyway.

CaurnieBred · 13/05/2018 12:20

I wear flesh coloured big pants and patterned leggings. I was amazed at how many pairs of plain black leggings go virtually see through when the owner is squatting/spinning (regardless of size of bottom) so stopped using mine when I realised.
