It sounds great but I can't quite get my head around how it works.

Can anyone give me an example of how their day would go with it? I mean I know it's all on fb but when you're on a mission what do you actually do?

Next one starts soon and I'm thinking of joining.

This threads in chat too. Smile

There aren't exercises for bronze, it's all about rethinking relationship to food.

Silver includes bronze as it's a lot more expensive!

InSomeKindofParallelUniverse · 10/07/2017 21:04

Seriously?!

Judging from the FAQ I presumed I'd be getting "food options and meal plans, home and gym workouts."

You've got to be kidding.

I've paid £60 to join a private Rebelfit Facebook group?

I'm actually gutted.

BrieOnAnOatcake · 10/07/2017 21:07

Silver is the exercise group, bronze is nutrition and rethinking approach to food and diets.

I've not got the money but have friends who have done them and found them life-changing.

kalinkafoxtrot45 · 10/07/2017 21:11

It's well worth the £££. I've done a number of missions, feel I have sorted out my issues around food, and am doing silver in the next round for more focus on better nutrition and fitness. A lot of what you do initially is around unlearning old habits and identifying overeating triggers.

OneOfTheGrundys · 10/07/2017 22:31

It's boggling my mind a bit too-it's a lot of thinking and writing at the mo. I think I assumed it was v much a workout thing and now I see it's like a more holistic course. It's forcing me to spend brain time on my own motivations though. And there's a bullet journally aspect to it which I like!

Glad I'm not the only one not overly impressed so far.

They got back to me and I can do silver if I transfer £48 asap.

I'm not sure.

InSomeKind - I thought there would be meal plans etc too.

I understand it takes time to unlearn bad habits, thoughts etc but at the end of th day we all want to lose weight. That's why we joined. I don't just want to think about it. I know if I do that I'll end up feeling out of control and panicky about it.

And I definitely don't want to gain.

Maybe this isn't for me.

alltalknobaby · 11/07/2017 08:35

Cider You have joined the mission - you have paid - you have the opportunity to raise the issues you've been raising here with Liam. Why don't you tell him what you've told us and get some help and advice from someone who has probably seen this before? He's very thick skinned and loves being challenged. Tell him you think it's a bit shit and ask him to help Grin

BrieOnAnOatcake · 11/07/2017 09:08

But the whole point is that diets won't lead you to lose weight in the long term. Rebelfit is about the long term and having a healthy weight neaba rethinking all that rather than a list of rules or dietplan.

BrieOnAnOatcake · 11/07/2017 09:10

and yes to telling him! He's v responsive.

I kind of want to do bronze and silver together next time but from the amount of stuff in wondering whether it's better to do one then the other.

CiderwithBuda · 11/07/2017 09:16

Alltalk - a bit afraid to do that as I saw somewhere from Liam that he will delete moaners!

Also you can't just post on the page - the support section isn't up yet - and I didn't want to post negatively in amongst all the introduction posts.

Anyway - I've decided to give silver a try and transferred the money this morning.

Maybe i just didn't really understand. I was a bit confused as to how others knew to do bronze alongside silver but maybe they knew a bit more about it before.

I will give constructive criticism about being clearer about what is involved in each mission. It does seem to indicate that there are meal plans and work outs on bronze but I certainly can't find them!

BrieOnAnOatcake · 11/07/2017 09:37

I'm on the normal fb and he's quite clear about the different levels I think. Often there's reposts where people have asked what's right for them and he posts about the levels.

However if you're anxious about feeling out of control fb message him. He's responsive. It may well be you need to go through panicky and out of control to gain a better relationship with food ( I have an eating disorder and so much is wrapped up with control.)

InSomeKindofParallelUniverse · 11/07/2017 10:18

Because the page is blocked to post on, you can only comment on the long threads, and he says he deletes "moaners"

BrieOnAnOatcake · 11/07/2017 10:20

I've fb messaged him before. He chooses some to reply to publicly

I'm sure you could write asking for help without "moaning"!!

CiderwithBuda · 11/07/2017 10:34

I did message yesterday but got an auto reply that they had thousands of messages and were struggling to get through them all.

Anyway. All sorted and I'm now a silver mission member.

I get that it's about bad habits and working on what led us to where we are but I really want to start losing. I'm going to Australia in November to see some really good friends and really want to be noticeably slimmer. So that's where the panic comes from.

Happy to be learning about the mental side which I agree is key but want to be actually doing at the same time. Also worried about possible gaining as Broomstick mentioned up thread.

ceecee32 · 12/07/2017 15:49

Hi - I joined the bronze and its all going a bit slow for me. I want to be doing something !
I have already come to terms with why I am fat and writing them down isn't doing much for me.

InSomeKindofParallelUniverse · 18/07/2017 09:01

Blimey so basically no one is allowed to ask any questions unless they're on this week's topic?

Have you seen how many members are in the group? Times that by £60 (at least - many of those will be 'Silver') and it's basically £30k to post a few things on FB. Wow.

The posts are even re-using material - the quotations used in the "I know you've got it" post - those must have been from previous 'missions' as they certainly weren't from the current one.

InSomeKindofParallelUniverse · 18/07/2017 09:03

How's the silver panning out @CiderwithBuda?

CiderwithBuda · 18/07/2017 13:16

I'm enjoying it. I do find it a bit rigid and his way or the High way though!

I am actually feeling enthused about exercise and more in control of eating already.

It's probably not for everyone and yes I reckon he's taking it in but at the moment I'm ok with that.

I'm figuring that what I've been doing over the last 20 odd years or so has just made me bigger and bigger and bigger so this has to be worth a shot.

BroomstickOfLove · 18/07/2017 13:46

I think do.e of the strictness about questions was that it got a bit bitty and chatty in the last mission with lots of short posts each day and sometimes going off on a tangent if someone asked an interesting question, and there was some feedback saying that it made it harder to keep track of what was going on for people who didn't spend a lot of time on Facebook.

OneOfTheGrundys · 18/07/2017 14:15

I need to catch up-have had a kidney infection... any tips?

OP posts:
InSomeKindofParallelUniverse · 21/07/2017 20:33

It all went a bit bizarre yesterday Confused

I'm still not convinced and I wonder how solid the research is.

FlowerFairyLights · 21/07/2017 20:41

what happened? I'm not in a group.

CiderwithBuda · 01/08/2017 17:26

How is everyone doing?

Sunday's shenanigans with the body comp Club was a bit off putting.

Am back in and struggling to eat the amount of calories I'm supposed to be having. Feeling very bloated today.

I am still exercising though and not weighing.

Pizzaexpressreview · 14/09/2017 22:41

I think the mission has finished hasn't it? aid 've really keen to hear how you all found it... Good/bad reviews....

It's really expensive for me so don't want to try it unless it "works".

Hattifnatt88 · 05/03/2018 08:21

Can we wake this thread up again? I found this and am very curious. I had anorexia for nearly 10 years, then became very obese (and still am). I really need to both sort out my relationship with food and exercise, as well as lose weight. I can't afford £36 a month for the Beach Body program though!
