It sounds great but I can't quite get my head around how it works.

Can anyone give me an example of how their day would go with it? I mean I know it's all on fb but when you're on a mission what do you actually do?

Next one starts soon and I'm thinking of joining.

This threads in chat too. Smile

Foods are all graded along a colour spectrum. You note down what colour each meal/block is, on balance. You are aiming for more green/yellow (unprocessed, natural foods) than red/purple (processed). On top of this, there is also a daily workout - the programme I did had strength exercises that were brilliant. I think they do the workouts about 3-4 times a week and on non workout days ("active rest days") you are encouraged to go for a walk, run, swim - anything to get you moving basically.

There is lots of motivation, education and it's quite interactive. I'd thoroughly recommend it Smile

OneOfTheGrundys · 08/07/2017 12:12

Thank you-I'm joining fb for it so better be good!
Can you do the daily workout whenever you like?
I'm thinking about the silver package as I think I'm a bit further in than bronze. Bit worried it sounds more expert tho.
Glad it was good for you!

I've never hear of this, is it similar to Joe Wicks? How do the classes work remotely?

BrieOnAnOatcake · 08/07/2017 13:54

I follow rebelfit daily, and joined the premission group but haven't actually done a mission (no money). Would be interested in the future though.

alltalknobaby · 08/07/2017 17:13

Yes OP, you can do the workouts whenever and wherever you like. They post them early so you can get them in before work if you like, and they give links to vids of the exercises. I think it's worth joining fb for - the mission groups are good as you get daily motivation, you can ask questions, there are recipes etc. I hope you enjoy it Smile

OneOfTheGrundys · 09/07/2017 08:46

Ah that's good to hear.
I've tried slimming world etc but just fine the yoyo thing and am bigger than ever now!! It seems like an intervention that helps you mind too. Working out before work/kids up seems doable at the mo too... thank you.

I've signed up!
Getting my head round fb is a mission in itself however. 😂

BrieOnAnOatcake · 09/07/2017 14:10

let's hear how you get on. I'd love to join in the future but dont have the funds at the moment.

CiderwithBuda · 09/07/2017 14:16

How much is it? I've heard good things on here but not sure I want to join up to yet another weight loss thing I won't end up using.

Currently a member of a local gym and do spinning classes although have dodgy knees so don't stand up on the pedals. Did a body pump class this morning and am already worried I won't be able to walk tomorrow.

BrieOnAnOatcake · 09/07/2017 14:22

joining up on fb to get all the general non dieting info is free, but every now and then there are 3 month fitness plans which you pay for.

BroomstickOfLove · 09/07/2017 14:26

I've just finished my first bronze mission and it was pretty inspirational. I've signed up for silver this time, so maybe I'll see you in a group late.

BrieOnAnOatcake · 09/07/2017 14:30

Oooh tell me more? I think I'd like to do it.

BroomstickOfLove · 09/07/2017 14:53

Bronze is just about getting out of a dieting mindset and getting back into a healthy relationship with food. It costs £20 a month for 3 months. It's slow and gradual, and if you do it, you will probably put on lots of weight over the three months. I hadn't realised what a fucked up attitude to food I had until I did the mission, but now I am so much more able to feel relaxed and non judgemental around food, and as a result, I now feel able to control what I eat without getting stressed.

OneOfTheGrundys · 09/07/2017 15:04

That's what I like about the sound of it. All the time I was on SW and making progress it was brilliant and I lost lots. I just don't feel that it really addressed my relationship with food and exercise. Perhaps because I wasn't able to do groups that often because of work? Who knows.
Brie if you join let me know and we could do a mn sub group!
I'm so pleased it was so good for you Broomstick . Thanks for the info all .

Ah Cider I hope you're not suffering tomo.

Ok I've just joined to do the next Beonze mission starting tomorrow.

Had been seriously contemplating a gastric balloon.

OneOfTheGrundys · 09/07/2017 16:54

I think it's worth a try. Rebelfit before the gastric balloon I mean!

I'm a teacher in the last few weeks of my current job. I don't want to be the fat teacher when I start my new one. I mean, I know it'll take more than 6 weeks to shift the junk from this trunk but if I'm in a routine with it by then I'll be well on my way and in a better place mentally and physically.

I'll be on at 6 tomo morning. Will even record The Loch so I get to bed on time!
Will check in after session #1. 💪

BrieOnAnOatcake · 09/07/2017 19:24

I was a teacher but I'm not sure I'd get another job the size I am now!!!

OneOfTheGrundys · 09/07/2017 19:35

I work in a small unit at the moment and everyone's so fit there it's a bit shaming. That's the thing about teaching-i do think you need stamina and a positive diet change can help that.

Would you ever want to go back is the question Brie !!! There's a retention crisis for good reason!

OP posts:
BrieOnAnOatcake · 09/07/2017 19:40

I don't really at all but i haven't yet found an alternative so it's looking possible :(

OneOfTheGrundys · 09/07/2017 19:45

For various boring reasons I'm returning to mainstream after 4 years out in specialist behaviour and I'm not wild about it. Perhaps having that detachment can make it less stressful sometimes? Everything's less personal in a way.

All those tes threads on life after teaching-and the staffroom here... you're not alone.

OP posts:
CiderwithBuda · 09/07/2017 22:47

I have huge admiration for teachers. I certainly would not have the patience.

Off to investigate what I need to do.

InSomeKindofParallelUniverse · 09/07/2017 23:30

In the bronze mission you will put on weight?? Was that a typo?!

BroomstickOfLove · 10/07/2017 09:35

No. You stop dieting, eat what want, learn to relax around food and accept yourself as you are because any longer term sustainable weight loss will be slow. Most people gain at least some weight on bronze and then start losing it on silver.

CiderwithBuda · 10/07/2017 18:54

I'm underwhelmed so far. I don't want to just think about my relationship with food. I want to be doing something to address it and lose weight!

Am I missing something? Are there meal plans or recipes?

I've noticed some people do bronze and silver together. Worried I should have done silver. I've messaged and emailed asking can I do silver as well but they haven't replied.

InSomeKindofParallelUniverse · 10/07/2017 20:21

Agreed. Seems to me like the silver ones are getting the bronze group for free? I too thought we'd get daily exercises. The first week seems to consist of posting threads on the group? Confused
