Anyone got this DVD? I've lost over 3 stone since having lo but still want to lose one more so was thinking of trying this. It's a long shot but just wondering if anyone else wanted to try it with me and we can keep the pressure on to complete it!?

Yes me too Jsy123! I feel like someone is watching Hmm

My 2kg weights arrived from Amazon. Punchy call! Will let you know how I get on tomorrow (if I can still type when my arms drop off!)

Jsy123 · 09/02/2017 19:19

I've done day 10! Urgh I've been putting off weighing myself since just before xmas. I was so good in the run up to xmas and lost 7 pounds and then I biffed out and then throughout January I've been drinking lots of wine and eating crap - I knew I'd put on weight. Anyway I've put on the 7 pounds I lost Sad. I suspect I put on more than that and have lost a couple of pounds in the last week and half though. My bmi was just in the healthy range and now it's crept up to 26 - need to get it back healthy.

Funnily I felt demotivated rather than motivated by weighing myself. Had to really push hard to do it. Glad I did though. Tomorrow is a rest day as have a team building thing after work.

Wonder if I can lose 5-6 pounds by the end of the shred? Will have to wait and see.

How did you new weights go toastedbeagle?

I'm typing this with my nose 😂

I was fine actually in circuit 1 & 2 , but Lordy that 3rd circuit is a killer for shoulders. I wanted to give up but I looked at myself in the mirror and that spurred me on!!

My left knee hurts like crazy though. Can't do a jumping jack on it, have to hop!! Can't see it lasting 16 more days 😥 Wondering whether I should get a knee support!

Well done on almost getting BMI back to healthy! I'm still a pound heavier than I was mid November, thanks to my Christmas indulgence!!

My fancy scales say my body fat has gone from 26% (acceptable) to 24% (fitness) ! Woo hoo!

Jsy123 · 09/02/2017 22:11

Sorry to hear your knee is hurting. I'm finding level 2 more intense on the legs. Can you modify any of the exercises that cause you trouble? You must careful.

I keep telling myself I'm a third of the way through but another 20 days seems ages lol! To be honest, I usually control my weight by diet alone but I thought this might give me a kick start. Will see where I am this time next week!

I have a confession to make. I have given up on the Shred Blush BUT! Have not given up entirely, I just realised how much I hate it, and prefer other all over body workouts! So am now still doing 30 days straight, but mixing up the Shred with other workouts. I can't watch jillian for another 21 days, I just can't!

YouTube has loads of good workout videos, for anyone who ever fancies taking a break from the Shred. This one is brilliant,
although it is 30 mins - but i find the time passes so much quicker as there is more variety within it. I will use this as my main workout, and intersperse it with the Shred and a couple of other workouts with the same instructor.

Lozzapops · 10/02/2017 10:19

Hope your knee recovers Beagle, it's horrible trying to power through the pain. Ice it and elevate it at least a couple of times a day, and get a support on it. Good luck!

Well done on continued progress everyone! Don't get discouraged Jsy, I reckon you'll be able to lose those 5-6 pounds!

toastedbeagle · 10/02/2017 14:59

I went for a 20 min swim (my first since 2012 sans kids!) and spent 10 happy minutes in the jacuzzi / hydropool thing, which was good. Knee still hurts, can't kick sideways to do breaststroke either.

I might have a crack at the Shred but avoid sideways jumping and just do butt kicks instead.

I rewarded myself last night with a (turkey) bacon sandwich and Americas Next Top Model Grin

Well I did it, day 15 is ovahhh! Can't believe I'm halfway through and haven't quit!! Thanks to this thread 😄

Feeling good 😊

Jsy123 · 12/02/2017 19:07

Just checking in. I haven't done the shred since Thursday. Friday I had no opportunity and then this weekend I've just felt super tired and weak. I'm hoping I'm not coming down with anything as I don't usually feel this way. Anyway I'm going to see how I feel tomorrow - I'm not having I got up though. I feel like I can notice the difference in the 10 days I've done and want to keep it up.

Hope you've all had a good weekend!

Jsy123 hope you feel better soon! I skipped it yesterday but got in there at 8am this morning before I felt too guilty!!

Not seeing much difference in my weight / shape which is annoying!! But I managed, ooh, 3 of those walk out plank press ups, and 2 weeks ago that would have been impossible!!

toastedbeagle · 13/02/2017 07:54

Well day 17 is done, but I've only lost a pound in a week! Pah!

Jsy123 · 15/02/2017 19:41

Hey toasted beagle! Well done on completing day 17! I haven't done the shred in nearly a week. I've felt off and part of my work involves working from home in the evenings and that's been super busy.

I'm not even sure if I can get back into it now. Some how the motivation has been zapped out of me along with my energy! Urgh I feel like a loser for starting this thread and then giving up! My dh has suggested I just do it every day but that's meant to be the whole point! 30 days to get shredded!

Hey jsy123 I've not done it yesterday/ today but I have been to the gym both days.

I've got my gym kit on right now to do it but the kids took so long to get to bed that I failed 😫

toastedbeagle · 21/02/2017 09:39

JSY123 how are you?

I started level 3 yesterday ! Wowsers it's hard!! Could so 3 of the moves lol!!

WellHurrahAndHuzzah · 21/02/2017 19:19

Hello! Just thought I'd say hi as I'm going to do a mixture of shred and running to try and up my fitness a bit.

I also wanted to give a bit of encouragement! I'm a slim ish size 12 and I did a rough version of the 30 day shred back in September. I cheated a bit and had a day off a week. Didn't add in any other exercise, nor did I change my diet. And it definitely had an impact! I lost a few pounds but more importantly I really looked more toned - to the point where 3 or 4 people commented on it. Result!

So - it DOES work and you will feel SO much better for it. I do remember how tough it found the first few days of each level and this time round it has been easier. Muting Gillian is certainly helpful Grin

I intend to do a level 2 workout tomorrow and will check back in here!

ruby242 · 09/04/2017 07:06

Is anyone on here still doing the shred? Or those that have finished have you had good results? I've just started and would be nice to have some others to see how we are going!

MamaHanji · 09/04/2017 08:35

*Ruby
*
I'm going to start doing it tomorrow.
I'd love to compare and spur each other on as I'm so bloody lazy!
Hopefully I can fit it in with 2 babies!

ruby242 · 09/04/2017 08:43

Wonderful! Two babies, you've got a tougher job than me, I only have one! I'm going to have to do some of them at 6am before DH goes to work so I'm going to need the extra motivation to get me up!

I did the first day yesterday, was hard work but acheivable. However my abs were really sore last night and today and so is my upper body, I haven't done any exercise in a while! I couldn't face doing it this morning so did a random 10min cardio workout on YouTube just to keep me in the routine of doing it and I'll go back to the shred tomorrow. Let me know how you do tomorrow. My diet has been terrible since having DS so am eating healthy too, really hoping to lose 1-1.5 stone

MamaHanji · 09/04/2017 11:38

Technically one is nearly 3 but she is still a baby to me.

I did the 30 day shred a few years ago after she was born and my God did I feel it for weeks!

I've had to go wheat and dairy free as the baby is intolerant so I'm barely eating any processed foods which while it takes longer to make anything...I feel amazing and the weight is coming off really well.

I think I want to lose about a stone, but I'd really like to have some semblance of stomach muscles again. After baby number 2 I can't feel a bloody thing there!
