What's your steps today?

I think I'm just over 11,000.

I'm just asking so I can see what other people are up to.

Well done on everyone's steps today, regardless of how much you've done!.

How about, those up for the 20,000 challenge tomorrow post a screenshot of their accomplishment. Around 7:30/8pm tomorrow eve I'll start a new post with my screenshot of (hopefully) my 20,000!

Closest I've ever come is little over 17000 2 days ago! So will have to push myself extra hard for it!

Just set it ready for tomorrow, 20000 steps and 14 hours of 'active hours'!

Actually looking forward to the challenge!

16997

I average around 120-130k a week, target 15000 daily.

Swissgemma · 13/06/2016 21:13

And yet @Twowrongsdontmakearight you still posted your steps and target... I really don't care how many steps other people have as their target, whether they hit target or not... that doesn't impact on my fitness or my targets! however, I find in life that I perform better if I have a target or a purpose so I use challenges to do that!

I would suggest that if you really didn't care you wouldn't've posted! I think by their nature fitbit users are competitive, target orientated people (note I said users not owners! a fitbit in a drawer is not being used!).

CuntTrollingRs · 13/06/2016 21:17

I like hearing about and meeting people who are fitter than me. It's an inspiration rather than an irritation.

PseudoBadger · 13/06/2016 22:12

Just sitting down to watch GoT with 21500, so by the time I've done the dishwasher, tumble drying, let the dogs out, locked up etc I'll finish on 22000 I reckon.

HeffalumpHistory · 13/06/2016 22:34

Actually looking forward to the challenge!
Me too op! I've never really been into the gym or anything but have been amazed at my motivation to meet my goal/beat DP since getting my Fitbit. Lost 9lb without even feeling like I was trying all that hard

StickTheDMWhereTheSunDontShine · 13/06/2016 22:36

Pretty poor for a school day, but I've not been feeling so well. 8157.

StickTheDMWhereTheSunDontShine · 13/06/2016 22:41

And no chance of 20K, here. I've beaten 15K just twice and it wiped me out, both times. I have some physical problems and tend to fatigue quite easily. My happy point is about 11-13K.

20 years ago, I'd have done 20K without even feeling it.

InMySpareTime · 13/06/2016 22:58

11k, but I had to jog round the bedroom for the last thousand, as I got a lift home!

Statelychangers · 13/06/2016 23:19

21,000 steps today. I accidentally friended people who do 50k a day - the workweek hustle has me battling to at least not come last. Mid week I hit 20k - weekends it's usually a lot less

PirateFairy45 · 14/06/2016 07:54

I've been active since I got up and at 2000+

But those ladies or gents up for a challenge who don't feel they can or want to hit 20,000. Just do as much as you can without causing yourself pain or any other bad things :).

Also... 50,000 a day? WTF, I think if I did that I couldn't move for a week!

Good luck today :)

Also slight rant... Told DH about the challenge and instead of being supportive, all I got was 'do they know you're cheating? You're working out at home!' Ass.

My target is set to 12000 but I try to do closer to 20,000. I've only gone over 25,000 twice.

JasperDamerel · 14/06/2016 08:11

50,000 steps a day? That's almost 40km! Are they training for ultramarathons or something?

deepdarkwood · 14/06/2016 08:17

Oooh, can I join in too? 20k will be tough for me today as I've got a yoga class and lots of very sedentary work to get done, but I'm always up for a challenge! I hit 12k as my 'base' and my average is 17k at the mo (but camping for the last two weekends has helped that - turns out you get a lot of steps walking to the loo if it's down the other end of a field ;-)

deepdarkwood · 14/06/2016 08:19

PS I work from home too PirateFairy, and my argument has always been it's easy to be less active when home based than in an office - after all, I can stay in two rooms all day if I want with no meetings/walk to coffee/loo etc...

HeffalumpHistory · 14/06/2016 08:25

That's not cheating!!

Absolutely to everyone aiming for as much as they can do. Just a bit of motivation (think I've used that word a lot Blush it's cause I need it!) & support.

I'm sure I'll get no where near 20k but going to try & get a pb at least.

Have fun everyone!

Lighteningirll · 14/06/2016 08:27

I'm in I usually do around 13 to 14,000 the only time I did over 20,000 we went out for the day then to a party with dancing and walked back to hotel so a midweek 20k is definitely a challenge

PirateFairy45 · 14/06/2016 08:27

Anyone can join in :).

I'm a SAHM but I've got a lot of weight to loose before I can do 2 things (at least) I've wanted to do since I was young.

So I'm working out at home as much as I can.

In the last 11 days though I've been doing a lot more working out as it keeps my mind active since my grandpas death.

Good luck to all today!

I know what you mean deepdarkwood. I'm meant to be working part time but my work haven't been giving me my hours!

OP posts:
kirinm · 14/06/2016 11:18

How do people get so many steps in? I'm office bound and even with an hours exercise at night I have to push hard to get 10k.

Statelychangers · 14/06/2016 11:29

I walk my dog twice a day, and today I've walked to an exercise class too. So far 16.5k steps.

kirinm · 14/06/2016 11:36

I need a dog! And a job that doesn't involve sitting at a desk for 10 hours a day.

Statelychangers · 14/06/2016 11:52

Get a standing desk!

PirateFairy45 · 14/06/2016 12:37

Not sure I'll hit 20000 today, only just coming up on 9000 now!

Got a bloody great big headavhor though but hoping a work out will help boost my numbers and help rid me of my headache!
