Setting us up for tomorrow - all welcome to record progress with crazy Jillian's range of workouts (not limited to the Shred). Come on, you know you want to...

I'm fairly pathetic when it comes to weights - I use 1kg mostly (0.5kg for squats/v-rises).

Just done 30DS L2D3 and 6W6P L1D13.

I'll probably have a rest day tomorrow - DD has a parents evening and it is my 40th birthday.

ImogenQuy · 24/09/2015 06:59

NMTZ second half done. Day off tomorrow so I might try and do all of NMTZ, but later in the day so I don't have to crawl out of bed quite so early. It's been a real struggle this week now the mornings are darker, and the miserable weather hasn't helped either.

Happy birthday, Oubliette Flowers

Whole of NMTZ done. Feeling knackered, but good. And the advantage of doing it at this time of day was that the cat didn't bite me as she'd been fed at 4.00! (Another advantage may possibly be that I rewarded myself with a gin and tonic.)

DH and DS away overnight tonight, so I'm going to have a long bath and watch a DVD now.

Well done Imogen - you definitely earned that G&T.

I had a fairly intense day exercise wise. I did 30DS L2D4, and I was halfway through 6W6P L1D14 when DH rang to tell me he was going to be late. So I had to run across town to collect DS (10 min), then walk back home (20 min). At which point I re-started 6W6P L1D14, and did the entire thing plus the half I'd missed earlier - so I suppose I did 6W6P L1D15 too.

I've just had a well-earned shower, and I'm feeling a bit tired Grin

Rest day tomorrow - back Sunday if I can still move by then

OublietteBravo · 27/09/2015 10:33

I started off with 30DS L2D5 - I even used the 1kg weights for the 1st set of chair squats.

The I decided it was time to move on to level 2 of 6W6P Shock. It is insane - I definitely can't double-time it on my second go round. I'm not due I'm going to be able to do this as a 2nd circuit every day.

Pigeonpost · 27/09/2015 22:43

Hello! Came specifically to find a Shred Thread as have today done Day 2 and am already bored. I do love the 30DS but I've never got further than Day 13 and I must have started it 3 - 4 times. It did really make a difference after 10 days on the one and only time I got that far though so must stick with it. I am now no longer working so surely I must be able to find the time every day, If my shoulders can cope with the press ups and chest flies though...

Pigeonpost · 27/09/2015 22:47

Although the highlight of today's session was inadvertently punching DS1 (age 7) in the face during the last set of jumping jacks in circuit 3. He and DS2 were being Generally Irritating (sitting behind me commenting on my performance and saying that it wasn't working as they couldn't see me getting thinner...) but DS1 moved round the back of me to the side just at wrong moment. I then got the giggles but managed to continue. Dedication to the cause...

ImogenQuy · 28/09/2015 07:40

Welcome, Pigeonpost! Glad I'm not the only one who's inadvertently punched a child while Shredding.

Oubliette, I think I might stay away from 6W6P: it sounds too hardcore for me!

NMTZ first half done this morning, with a brief pause to chase away a marauding cat that was threatening ours - ours may be an annoying animal but she's entitled to wave her tail in our own garden.

Hello Pigeonpost - welcome to the shred thread!

I've just done 30DS L2D6 & 6W6P L2D2. I'm tired & sweaty.

I think this level of 6W6P is the toughest Jillian circuit I've done. It is all I can do to make it through the moves the second time around (double-time seems an impossible aspiration). I'm dripping with sweat once I'm finished...

OublietteBravo · 28/09/2015 19:14

Oh, and I thought it seemed more cardio than abs after yesterday's attempt. By the evening I could really feel my abs, so I can confirm it does do what it says on the tin Grin

Pigeonpost · 28/09/2015 19:19

30DS D3L1 now. Starting to feel marginally less hideous maybe? Am sure it was around the D4-5 mark last time. Idea was to do it in the morning post school run but I had to do D2 yesterday evening as we were out all day and I hurt too much to do it this morning!!

OublietteBravo · 28/09/2015 19:22

Yes - it definitely gets better around day 4 or 5. Hang in in there...

ImogenQuy · 29/09/2015 06:59

NMTZ second half done. All the abs exercises were a struggle today: I think I was doing something wrong, but can't work out what. Maybe it's sympathy with Oubliette.

I was going to have a day off, but decided to push on through (really want to complete both 30DS & 6W6P before my holiday).

So this evening I did 30DS L2D7 & 6W6P L2D3. The moves are getting more familiar in 6W6P - still finding it hard going though please let day 4 seem easier

ImogenQuy · 30/09/2015 06:58

NMTZ first half done. Going to move on next week to alternating RI30 or 30DS with Yoga Meltdown: NMTZ is a really effective workout but I've been doing it steadily for three weeks now and it's time for a change, especially since I haven't got time to do the whole workout each morning.

I did the DVDs in the opposite order this evening. So 6W6P L2D4 and then 30DS L2D8. I'm amazed at how much more difficult this made 30DS - I'm definitely reverting back to my usual order next time.

OublietteBravo · 01/10/2015 19:15

Back to the usual order today: 30DS L2D9 and then 6W6P L2D5.

Nearly on to level 3 of the shred and only 10 more days of level 2 of 6W6P and counting - I hate this level
