Apparently negotiations are in the black hole of the EU tunnel or should that be on the back of the fantasy of the Boris Bridge?

Another week closer to complete meltdown.

I'm guessing that our world beating customs solution will be based on blackboard and chalk.

But British chocolate

Can’t grow our own cocoa beans yet though (although I’m sure if we just BeLeave enough that will happen).

I’m sure Côte D’Ivoire was delighted when the Brexit vote caused Sterling to drop like a stone. It’s not like cocoa beans are traded in Sterling or anything ...

@bellinisurge

You’ll need to start drinking Guinness and fostering a love of folk music you know.

Strangely enough I won't be sharing a picture of my Blue passport WinkGrin

OchonAgusOchonO · 16/10/2020 10:22

@bellinisurge

I know I'm being self indulgent and gloaty but: FUCK YOU, BREXITEERS. GOT OUR PASSPORTS LAST WEEK
Welcome to IrelandSmileWine
Peregrina · 16/10/2020 10:24

Please don't rub it in - a good many of us aren't eligible for another passport.

bellinisurge · 16/10/2020 10:29

@OchonAgusOchonO and @SabrinaThwaite thank you and I'm sorry but I've never liked trad!

bellinisurge · 16/10/2020 10:31

@Peregrina , I'm sorry. Let's just hope these shitheads implode soon enough.

@DGRossetti

National Grid has warned that Britain’s electricity will be in short supply over the next few days after a string of unplanned power plant outages and unusually low wind speeds this week.

I might go to church Sunday. I can't help but feel the need to tip my hat to the intelligence that decided the week after Boris talked of us being "the Saudi of windpower" (or whatever) to stop the wind. It's too close to divine intervention to be anything else.

What an excellent post @DGRossetti I am having a stressful time atm and belly laughs are rare. Your post just provided one - thank you.

Peregrina
Just remember that the Irish diaspora Stateside are one of the bulwarks we have against the stupidity of Brexit

I'll stick to no Guinness or Burans Smile

52andblue · 16/10/2020 10:51

52andblue · 16/10/2020 10:53

'Tis worth watching - though it is a mental image I cannot now erase...

TheElementsOfMedical · 16/10/2020 11:00

Congratulations on your new passports @bellinisurge Wine

Shrillharridan · 16/10/2020 11:03

Congrats bellini
I felt a mix of relief and huge sadness when ours arrived.

Sostenueto · 16/10/2020 11:17

So Lancashire moved to tier 3 with a 42 mill package a Tory run council. Labour members in area not happy about amount of Mo ey. The Tories scream that Covid should not be political but here is a political move by the Government. Still no agreement with Manchester a labour mayor. Says it all. Dominic Raab with threat to Manchester 'we can move any area into tiers without consent of local authorities' if they don't give Manchester money God help the Tories!

Peregrina · 16/10/2020 11:25

This trailer is funny. Better than the Patel/Gove clip IMO. The last bit with Johnson, Trump and Putin, is the best bit.

Shrillharridan · 16/10/2020 11:33

The Northern constituencies that voted tory deserve everything they get. Fuck em.
Didn't vote? Tough.
Voted tory? Tough
You got the incompetence you voted in/couldn't be bothered to vote in.
My sympathies are fulky with those who did not vote for this Govt and who will suffer along with those that did and most likely more so

Sostenueto · 16/10/2020 11:41

Raab threatening and smirking isn't going to help Andy Burnham's mood! Can see civil unrest if Government does not give support package to Manchester or forcibly put them in tier 3.

DGRossetti · 16/10/2020 11:44

I can't.
Menomadness · 16/10/2020 11:44

Re tier 3 Can anybody tell me how they decide what stays open and what doesn't ? I believe no gyms in Liverpool but Lancashire's will stay open. Is it really done on data showing where spread is happening or is it decided by playing rock, paper scissors or similar.

Menomadness · 16/10/2020 12:03

Thanks. DGR just as I suspected 🙄

TokyoSushi · 16/10/2020 12:06

FFS, it appears we're going with the 'Australia Brexit Solution' (Johnson on Sky News just now) Brinkmanship, or we're really just fucked?

Peregrina · 16/10/2020 12:12

So Johnson is walking away then?

Sostenueto · 16/10/2020 12:13

Liverpool now asking why it is that gyms in their area cannot open but Lancashire's can? Do we have tier 3A and tier 3B? Lol! More confusion more political bias.

Johnson now announced that we will prepare to leave EU on an Australian basis as EU not prepared to give Canada terms.
Haven't u been preparing Boris for a no deal then?
