This week has seen reports of the government editing footage of Johnson to avoid embarrassing questions about the early government response.

We've been asked to accept that the rules were different to what we were told to excuse the law breaking behaviour of a senior government advisor. As Johnson said he was being a responsible father (as if Johnson knows what this is) and it wasn't as if he was visiting a lover (this Johnson would know all about). Let's be honest Johnson is the master of brazening out controversy.

We also have the ERG complaining they were lied to by Gove about the new Withdrawal Agreement and the border in the Irish Sea which surprises precisely no one else.

They appear to be a little upset by the Cummings debarkable too.

I like this woman!!

ListeningQuietly · 25/05/2020 17:14

Here come the articles

AuldAlliance · 25/05/2020 17:14

My wife said we should just drive down the road to see if you're OK to drive.
And then, bugger me, we were at Barnard Castle.

DGRossetti · 25/05/2020 17:15

Ooh I’m surprised they are giving him such a hard time

really ?

The press hate him.

The Tories hate him.

pussycatinboots · 25/05/2020 17:15

The Discovery Sport currently only comes with one engine: a 2.2-litre SD4 diesel and the size of its fuel tank is 65-litres. With the automatic gearbox fitted, the maximum theoretical range that can be achieved is just shy of 641 miles. The manual version is a little more economical, achieving a maximum theoretical range of 662 miles. from CarWow website - the only one I could find it on!

And remember, those figures will be a pretty much empty car, not one including 2 adults and their child + all their luggage.

ListeningQuietly · 25/05/2020 17:15

How did you know you were safe to drive north .....
killer

Piggywaspushed · 25/05/2020 17:15

I was prepared to make my teenage nieces ill because we are sticking to the bollocks unproven theory that teenagers don't get the virus. Nice one Dom.

Piggywaspushed · 25/05/2020 17:16

I am bit worried about his safety to drive myself now, given that he doesn't recall whether he filled his car up.

BigChocFrenzy · 25/05/2020 17:17

Well, teens very rarely die from it, only 3 so far iirc
But they can become ill

OldLace · 25/05/2020 17:17

Each journalist is simply walking off at the end of their Qu's.
In disgust?
The atmosphere is coming out of the TV screen and it ain't good!

Piggywaspushed · 25/05/2020 17:17

And I still kept both of mine away from me when I was ill.

MockersxxxxxxxSocialDistancing · 25/05/2020 17:18

"sociopath is a term used to describe someone who has antisocial personality disorder (ASPD). People with ASPD can't understand others' feelings. They'll often break rules or make impulsive decisions without feeling guilty for the harm they cause."

Slime squirm fudge
oh dear oh dear

Calyx72 · 25/05/2020 17:18

Why wasn't he self isolating for 14 days because of his wife's illness? He shouldn't have been going back to work

Piggywaspushed · 25/05/2020 17:18

But Dom! You DID call 999!

JessicaDay · 25/05/2020 17:19

So what would have happened if he had taken ill on the drive rather than the next morning?

How could he know with any confidence that he could make the drive?

What if he had been taken I’ll at the wheel and crashed?

prettybird · 25/05/2020 17:20

Marina Hyde, Hopefully he's at least fucked his car insurance

• Admitting to driving 4-5 hours without a break

• Admitting to driving when concerned about his vision

BigChocFrenzy · 25/05/2020 17:20

Cummings & his wife drove 30 miles from Durham to Barnard Castle for a walk,
on his wife's birthday on Easter Sunday.

BUT
at that time, the public being told only to drive locally, certainly no mention of 30 miles to test your eyesight 🤔

This was a month before rules changed to let people drive a bit for exercise

DGRossetti · 25/05/2020 17:20

so after Johnson called the retired teacher who saw Cummings at Barnard Castle a liar, Cummings has just stated on record that he and his family did stop off at Barnard Castle for a piss break

I hope Johnson is going to make a public apology to the old boy

MockersxxxxxxxSocialDistancing · 25/05/2020 17:22

"Why should I put someone at risk of dying from a deadly disease when my neices have already volunteered?"

AuldAlliance · 25/05/2020 17:22

Our judgement at the time was if we tried to explain it would lead to confusion.

Yeah, right.

pussycatinboots · 25/05/2020 17:22

DGR BJ uses the same dictionary as DC, neither understand the word apology.

ListeningQuietly · 25/05/2020 17:23

Cummings - you hope wrong.

DrBlackbird · 25/05/2020 17:24

he is convinced that Govt couldn't function without him. Interesting that he 'considers what to tell BJ on a daily basis

^This. Now we know why BJ cannot lose him. He would have no idea on how to run the government without Dom.

Bit rich that DC is looking for sympathy and understanding from the press now. He's not been so sympathetic in the past few months has he? Boycotting Today Programme and other news programmes, as well as blocking journalists from No 10 briefings. What an utter jerk.

prettybird · 25/05/2020 17:24

To get more investment into the NHS

Is that code for privatising it?Hmm
