Speculation that Johnson is parachuting into Rutland.

Rumours that the Brexit Party won't contest the election.

A new speaker to be elected on Monday.

Parliament to dissolve next week.

Brexit? Oh we've forgotten that until Friday 13th...

Also to whoever it was on the previous thread who said we'd see him in the Lords? I'm pretty sure Johnson has said there's no way he would give him the nod for Lords. I'm not sure where I saw that mind. I know we have a GE so could all change but...

The fact that Bercow was the single most effective anti-Tory campaigner in the House is rather embarrassing to the person who is technically meant to be doing that job!

No problem with Lindsay Hoyle, who at least has a decent go at demonstrating dignity and impartiality.

And Trump giving all non Tory parties the brilliant line that Johnson is in his pocket - a vote for Boris is a vote for Trump. Do hope they all use it ad infinitum.

Bercow is highly highly likely to go to the Lords. The Queen is said to have heard that Theresa May was planning to try to block it and therefore overturning centuries of custom where the speaker goes to the Lords. There was no way that was going to be blocked on her watch and T May got very short shrift....
Johnson would get the same message....

There were rumours on Twitter (search for Sevenoaks Boris) that he was moving to Sevenoaks

Sevenoaks Michael Fallon's old seat. Conservative Majority: 21,917. Labour was second w 10,727 votes

Rutland & Melton Alan Duncan's old seat. Con Majority: 23,104. Labour was second w 13,065 votes.

Uxbridge & South Ruislip Johnson's current seat. Conservative majority of 5,083. Labour was second w 18,682 votes.

It is not within Johnson's power to block it, and he is not required to nominate new peers.

Previous speaker Martin was the facilitator of all the expenses scams, and he went straight to the Lords.

Donald Trump is trying to interfere in Britain’s election to get his friend Boris Johnson elected.

It was Trump who said in June the NHS is “on the table”. And he knows if Labour wins US corporations won’t get their hands on it.

Our NHS is not for sale.

This apparently the list of seats yet to select a Conservative candidate. Boris could take his pick I would guess. If I were him, I'd choose City of London and Westminster. It's right there. I doesn't get more convenient.
