Someone started fireworks a little while ago, I thought it was odd and vaguely annoying.
Then I read this thread and I've now decided they are staying in the EU fireworks, so I love them!

As a side note why has Mark Francois anglocised his name formally?

I always image him in Officer Crabtree from Allo Allo style pronouncing his own surname as 'Frank-Cosz' whilst looking like Peter Griffin and having his mentality.

(as a side note, apparently Officer Crabtree's character was partly based on Ted Heath's dreadful French accent)

So sad that John Bercow has left. There will never be his like again in the speakers chair.

In a GE there are very practical aspects of belonging to a political party. And as our bigger parties are all broad churches in general, switching from one to another isn’t necessarily going to compromise many principles. Many voters switch regularly. TBH I’m surprised there are so few defections normally.
