Quite coincidentally I too have been in negotiations today regarding the pubs licence and it's good news here as well, a deal has been agreed!!

There were no amendments or legal objections put forward so a shiny new licence has been issued and normal service can be resumed Smile

Same rules apply.

Now let's hope Saturday's proceedings can go ahead without the usual dicking around and that what has been nigh on impossible during the last 3 years, a majority, can be achieved otherwise I feel we are off to hell in a handcart!

First drink is on the house 🍻🍷🍻🍷Cheers

Not awfully keen of the prong idea , might be a job related bias Wink

Snowjive2 · 19/10/2019 21:30

Without the DUP, Johnson is stuffed. And by bringing the last session of Parlt to an end, he ended their confidence and supply obligations. So now the DUP are free range - and they say they’d rather remain than support this deal.

Well bellini I think you did a good job of finding a 'workable' solution I really do. I think your idea/BJs 'new deal' was the best fit for all parties involved (UK/NI/RoI/EU) and agree with Gove that reaching 'perfect' to suit all 'parties' is impossible.

Unfortunately, not enough people in the UK are willing to push themselves to the limits of compromise that you, and other parties, have done.

I appreciate the compromises that Remain voters like yourself have made, and very much the EUs latest efforts in order to try and ensure an 'orderly' Brexit.

When all appears lost, you know there's only one way forward - a cup of tea, a joke and sing.....

dirtyrottenscoundrel · 19/10/2019 21:39

They’ll be a GE soon and the tories will win fairly easily.
DUP will no longer be needed.

Brexit will happen, it’s just being dragged out for what reason god only knows. It’s certainly not for the good of the people ( whatever way they voted )

Sunnyuplands · 19/10/2019 21:40

Arf time.

What's that amazing wine, beloved of napoleon during his captivity on Elba and Jane austen.

Heaven... Imagine if we would give him a crate... He'd let us go...

Sunnyuplands · 19/10/2019 21:43

I've never seen trump grab a woman or man like junker does...

HateIsNotGood · 19/10/2019 21:52

I know Sunny - there's no way a politico could get away in the UK with 'messing with someone's hair' like Junker openly does, they'd be sacked pdq.

When the Brexit Blinkers are on, apparently such things are ok.

howabout · 19/10/2019 21:57

Sterling work in cheering me up troops. Grin

Can I have a French 90 in honour of Macron please.

About to down it in one and amuse myself with visions of Trumpian Oompa Loompa gum imports.

frumpety · 19/10/2019 22:01

To be fair to Junker , there is a lot more touching goes on than I am comfortable with, have a tendency to lean out as opposed to lean in, although being round its often hard to tell the difference Smile

Sunnyuplands · 19/10/2019 22:03

Trump oompa lump a on one side, blue smurfs on the other,

I'm stuck in the middle with you. Smile

Sunnyuplands · 19/10/2019 22:04

Oh never heard of a French 90! What's that when it's at home then?

What about Marie brizzard??

DustyDiamond · 19/10/2019 22:13

I also have appreciation towards Democratic remainers such as Bellini

It's the die-hards on each side who are making this impossible & sadly Parliament is chocka with die-hard remainers. Even the ERG came onside & compromised in the end, which was a bit of a shock.

Wrt the proposed Operation Brexit Arms, I do think Tusk is a bit of a goer in certain lights so I may work on him instead of Juncker - I fear my hair may not be too his liking (it's not long & blonde)

DustyDiamond · 19/10/2019 22:18

Tim Shipman on Twitter:

NEW: Boris’s three letters to circumvent the Benn act
^1) a photocopy of the letter in the bill, unsigned
2) a covering note from Sir Tim Barrow which basically says “we’re sending you this because we have to”^
3) a signed letter from Boris saying we don’t want an extension

😂😂😂

Hilarious if true

howabout · 19/10/2019 22:21

Laura K says it's true Grin

Boris also hoping for another court challenge Grin

time4chocolate · 19/10/2019 22:21

Just seen this:

The first was the letter demanded by the Benn Act, which asks the EU to delay Brexit beyond the October 31 deadline – but not signed by Boris Johnson – using the exact wording specified in the legislation.

The second was a covering letter, written by Sir Tim Barrow, the UK's Permanent Representative in Brussels, which made clear that the first letter was from Parliament, not the Government.

And the third was a letter from Mr Johnson, which was also sent to the leaders of the other 27 EU nations, in which he disavowed the first letter by making clear that he does not want any delay to Brexit.
In it, the PM said any further hold-up would be 'deeply corrosive', and would 'damage the interests of the UK and our EU partners'.

Good old Boris Grin

DustyDiamond · 19/10/2019 22:23

😂😂😂😂😂

Classic Dom...

He's the BEST at trolling!!

Sunnyuplands · 19/10/2019 22:24

I'm sure it is true.

I'm sure he can say, please give us an extension and next line, no don't.

Anyway.... Brexiters and pragmatic Remainers... What a momentus day that ended up as damp as Blackpool and soggy chips.

I said to dd, watch two minuets of this. Its like if we were able to watch Henry viii divorce UK from the pope.
What a day.

We'll get there.

We will get there and brexit, broris will prevail.

DustyDiamond · 19/10/2019 22:24

Seen this as well 😂😂😂

Brexit Arms pop up pops up again!
howabout · 19/10/2019 22:25

French 90 = shot of brandy over a sugar cube topped up with champagne

Down it in one and you could probably convince yourself of lots of people's finer points. Wears off quite quick so minimum hangover.

dirtyrottenscoundrel · 19/10/2019 22:25

Apparently today’s march was fairly disappointing in terms of numbers.

DustyDiamond · 19/10/2019 22:27

Jo Maugham is going to blow his nut 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

I'm off to look 👀

RufusthebewiIderedreindeer · 19/10/2019 22:27
