A thread for those of us on the march today :)

Weather still looking good, (perhaps, possibly, even some sunshine?) temps around 12-14, a little gusty at times, cooling off in the evening, so bring an extra jumper if you haven't set off.

Travel safely and see you at the march!

As a test I tried to sign it again but the reply of you've already signed this petition was very quick.
My Mum and dd +dds boyf have also signed

OhYouBadBadKitten · 24/03/2019 21:32

Shock I forgot to say, Jenny Agguter stopped next to me to say she like my placard. I didn't recognise her so just thanked her. My friend had to tell me Grin

The tube station was closed for people going onto the platforms - so they closed the station where the loos were. The old boys were those with prostate cancer - it was the least people could do to shield them from the march.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 24/03/2019 21:40

Oh bless them :(

It was a wonderful march though. Thank you for putting so much info out beforehand so people felt they could join in.

You're welcome! Let's hope it's the last one for positive reasons.

Please sign the petition. If you can't first time try and try again. It gives us time to see what we all really want. Let's give us time to have a real debate rather than cuddle up to the nearest headline. It doesn't matter which side of the vote you are - it needs to be settled properly with me and you knowing what we are voting for.

BunsyGirl · 24/03/2019 22:07

What happens if there is a pro-Brexit march next week and it’s bigger than the anti-Brexit march? I ask this as someone who voted Remain. What are people’s thoughts on how we can resolve the situation?

TalkinPaece · 24/03/2019 22:11

Bunsygirl
The Pro Brexit march is happening at the moment ....
it has 60 people on it
the pro Brexit lorry blockade had one lorry who then went home
the racist end of Pro Brexit stuff descends into violence very fast

whereas yesterday we saw police outside strategic buildings, drinking coffee

OhYouBadBadKitten · 24/03/2019 22:16

Yesterday's march took weeks of organising, leasing with authorities, fund raising and a huge effort by communities coming together. I see no sign of this among Brexiteers, just a very small grouping of rather lonely looking people.

liaising not leasing,

BunsyGirl they are doing a pro-brexit march. It's been going on for a week. Have you not seen photos of the huge crowd of around, erm, how many was it again- a few dozen? It's very impressive how dedicated the 17 million are Grin of course by the time the group get to London they might have a few more and make it past one hundred, or even 200, but let's face it, most of us have seen bigger village parades for St George's Day from the Scouts and Girl/Boy Guides.

It's here! - the day we march against the chaos that is Brexit.
PortiaCastis · 24/03/2019 22:31

The pro- Brexit blockade here consisted of 10 vehicles and 3 of those were police cars. The irony is they were trying to block a road that has been regenerated with EU funds.
Yep you couldn't make it up

Littlespaces · 24/03/2019 22:32

I suggest you look at @ledbydonkeys on twitter for brilliant photos of the pro Brexit march.

Tanith · 24/03/2019 22:38

I've heard that commuters on the M25 want a repeat of the lorry protest. They promised 3mph on a Friday evening and failed to deliver.

LateEaster · 24/03/2019 22:39

The march was great actually. Some fabulous placards, v amusing. Sensible , peaceful... Very British.
On practical note we don't decide what happens in the UK by measuring the sizes of a march😂😂.

The leave march is quite Hilarious but I don't feel many leavers feel the need to march... what for?

Maybe if Brexit doesn't Go through they'll march, but otherwise... I don't get what they would be marching for. I think farage may have got his timing wrong 😅😅

I did think there was potential for trouble yesterday when I saw the huge unfurling of socialist flag on bridge, but I guess far left tied in knots at present because dear leader wasn't on the march ? 🤔🤔🤣🤣🤣

Littlespaces · 24/03/2019 22:41

If it goes through they will be too busy worrying about price hikes in shops.

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 24/03/2019 22:43

What happens if there is a pro-Brexit march next week and it’s bigger than the anti-Brexit march?

When pigs fly....

LateEaster · 24/03/2019 22:47

There's no need for a pro Brexit march! What are they marching for...

Leavers have been out voting for X too get X then back too y too put pressure on h then back too y .... tactical voting that meant something, got the referendum... won the referendum...

. Remainers have had a chance to vote for lib Dems to get New referendum ... and no one bothered...

Maybe saving energy for a fun march instead!

Icantreachthepretzels · 24/03/2019 22:56

'tactical voting' is such a polite way of saying 'illegal funding' 'illegal dating harvesting' 'links to Russia' and '40 years of xenophobic hate whipped up by a right wing and partially foreign owned media.' ... oh and 'outright lies' - mustn't forget the outright lies.

BunsyGirl · 24/03/2019 23:01

So as usual people just take the pxss of those that voted out and do not offer any solution to a divided country...

Icantreachthepretzels · 24/03/2019 23:06

It's not our job to offer a solution to a problem we specifically voted against. That would be the job of the people who advocated that this was a good idea.

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 24/03/2019 23:06

bunsy, either swear or get off the pot. This is why this country is going to the dogs, Leavers don’t have the courage to even write piss properly.

( apologies if Pxss is a typo)
