That's all. Pop over and sit down quietly if you like.

I think I got a few hundred quid out of rich chap''s charity.

Turns out he is passionate about special needs and the performing arts.

Good when people surprise you.

I'm having an appropriately shit day, as the boiler decided to die last night with water dribbling out of a multitude of locations. We had an exhausting night emptying buckets, and I've been waiting for the engineer all bloody day so far (wearing all my clothes to keep warm).

But! From now on, Things Can Only Get Better right? I can practically smell the Freedom Hmm.

GrouchyKiwi · 29/03/2017 12:32

Brew for Elements. Hope engineer is there soon.

Letter has been delivered, A50 is triggered. Sorrow.

ElenaGreco123 · 29/03/2017 12:59

Grouchy That picture of the flag with one star falling off mafe me cry.

Waves to Poorboy I haven't joined the Lib dems yet, but I quit Labour and donated to libdem campaigns. I have to hide Tim Farron's letters from DH. More like not rub it in.

Brew for all of us.

lalalonglegs · 29/03/2017 13:17

I have managed to resist tears so far but have had a large lump in my throat. Despair is the best word I think.

And embarrassment. I feel really embarrassed that the world is watching us and some might believe that May speaks for me.

TheElementsSong · 29/03/2017 13:24

Engineer has been. Says boiler needs new innards and has gone to seek out parts.

Still sitting lonely in the cold facing an expensive and uncertain future.

Um. Kind of like Brexit ❄️

PoundlandUK · 29/03/2017 13:25

Thank you again for this thread smashed.

TheWoodlander · 29/03/2017 13:27

No tears here - just a sense of squirming embarrassment for some reason Confused I didn't expect to feel this.

I think we look fools. The world is laughing at us - someone just said on Andrew Neil's show that the EU is used to people banging the door down to become a member of the EU, not people wanting to leave. It's just odd we're shooting ourselves in the foot like this.

smashedinductionhob · 29/03/2017 14:26

"the boiler decided to die last night with water dribbling out of a multitude of locations."

That's also very Adrian Mole....

I'm drinking herbal tea that hasn't been steeped long enough. It's too hot.

badders and elements Flowers

Drunkvet · 29/03/2017 18:51

May I come for a sit down? I've brought some Magners and tayto cheese and onion crisps. Willful misunderstanding is the order of today.

Imjustapoorboy · 29/03/2017 19:23

smashed I'm OK it's a shame but the Corbynbots over Brexit can have the omnishambles Brexit views and their inadequate momentum candidates. They seem to have forgotten the moderates and think they will forgive and forget and believe you can still put a red rosette on a packet of loo roll and it will win

I have signed up with the LibDems so will expect my marching orders from the reds soon I think. Never ever voted against Labour before. My family will be moving with me

TheElementsSong · 29/03/2017 19:24

I have heating!!!!

^^

Sorry. Back to quiet sadness.

notaflyingmonkey · 29/03/2017 19:47

I've just come back from standing outside Parliament. It made me feel sad, or sadder, not least of all because I was surrounded by the floral tributes, some of which has messages like 'we are one'.

I then toddled off to Downing Street where there was mad hatters tea party-themed Brexit protest.

Then I went to the pub and managed not to cry.

Imjustapoorboy · 29/03/2017 20:19

Ooooh pub sounds good. As does the tea party

I am more pissed off than I thought I would be today.

Shots anyone? Vodka? Tequila?

smashedinductionhob · 29/03/2017 20:44

Thanks for doing that notaflyingmonkey

Are people celebrating outside? I haven't watched the news.

It was good to follow events on this thread, much safer.

I did some proper Badders-style indignation today doing my pitch to posh charity bloke.

Told him it was no good spending thousands on more musical instruments when what kids need is time with the right teacher.

Did my bit.

notaflyingmonkey · 29/03/2017 20:57

You are welcome smashed. Pass the crisps then.

I know this is a quiet corner.

But I am so angry. And pissed off.

What the hell is going to happen to us.

smashedinductionhob · 29/03/2017 21:02

Do you want some mescal? It's strong.

OP posts:
smashedinductionhob · 29/03/2017 21:03

Mescal, monkey?

It's 35% proof.

SummerLightning · 29/03/2017 21:34

I was ok until some twats from work tried to arrange a conference call today, my day off. Then i cried and swore (and told them to sod off). I think i wanted an excuse to get angry.

Now I am mostly homesick. Which is strange. And i went for a massive bike ride up a big hill which was amazing but has nearly broken me.
