That's all. Pop over and sit down quietly if you like.

Getting pretty down again.

OP posts:
Imjustapoorboy · 27/03/2017 21:11

Don't get down. It's what they rely on. That we will all just bow down and it will go away

smashedinductionhob · 27/03/2017 21:12

Has anyone forgiven the lib dems and joined?

OP posts:
smashedinductionhob · 27/03/2017 21:13

Thanks.

It's the sense of my voice mattering so much less.

I have been so tempted to join....but hanging in there with the reds and I am still a member (just). However I will vote with my conscience so will vote Libdem for the first time soon

smashedinductionhob · 27/03/2017 21:31

smashed May I recommend linking up with local 48% groups www.facebook.com/We.Are.The.Forty.Eight/
I did team up with local lib dems to send postcards to MP, but local remain groups may be more/equally effective. Do both?
www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2017/mar/27/demonstrations-matter-power-protesters-revolts
Paul Mason points out that every demonstrator has a digital identity, each march leads to a huge number of FB etc posts which worries the powers that be.
Local groups are pretty important, plus it feels nice to meet nice local people who are feeling the same way.
( You mentioned your music, in an earlier post? Music events for Europe? Cultural sharing?)

smashedinductionhob · 27/03/2017 21:40

I hadn't heard of those.....

< goes off to look it up>

Looks great 912!

Couldn't see how to find local groups though?

Have just submitted my Residency card application form. Now have up to 6 months to wait for an answer.

Not looking forward to Wednesday. Sad

DH and I are watching Gilmore Girls, and I'm eating my favourite jam on toast to cheer me up.

Imjustapoorboy · 27/03/2017 21:55

Cheers User

Yes, I felt I had too. Although the family all said they would never vote LD again, being tactical voters anyway, things like tuition fees don't affect any of us, whereas coming out of the single market stands a good chance of b*ggering up their jobs and their futures. So I felt that the tuition fees, initially introduced by Labour, had to be put behind us. I wish that the parties would all get together and start opposing the Tories, and I wish a few 'soft' Tories would join Ken Clarke in taking a stand.

user1490211912 · 27/03/2017 22:07

smashed, neither could I but I met 2 nice folks on train back from the march and I've linked in to a nearby village's group, they'd used this:

Flowers grouchy

Imjustapoorboy · 27/03/2017 22:15

Oh can I just say my local Labour party is doing Jack shit re Brexshit. Tis embarrassing that they just follow Corbyns party line.

smashedinductionhob · 27/03/2017 22:19

Sorry to hear that poor boy.

A friend is a Corbyn supporter and has found the local Labour Party is now very divided

OP posts:
Imjustapoorboy · 27/03/2017 22:22

It is very divided. To the point I believe that we have different (invite only) facebook groups on both sides

Two parties in one! Although I think the tide is turning!

user1490211912 · 27/03/2017 22:27

Hope you're right there poorboy about tide turning. I wish Clegg had supported Salmond and Starmer and vice versa more on tonight's QT.
If they joined up for this one.............................

smashedinductionhob · 27/03/2017 22:30

We need a strong Labour Party.

I hope things will improve.

OP posts:
Imjustapoorboy · 27/03/2017 22:33

I think the Lib Dems see their power as being different from the rest and currently they really could take a lot of Labour seats so i don't blame him

Labour (and I hate to say this) currently deserve all they get. They need to show some balls (oh and get rid of the dead red wood!)

Peregrina · 28/03/2017 07:40

Although I am a Lib Dem, I think that we need a strong Labour party also. I really wish Labour would get themselves sorted out.

I still think the Lib Dems are more likely to take Tory seats, especially in those Remain areas where the MP has happily fallen in behind Theresa May, and forgotten all about his or her constituents.

Imjustapoorboy · 28/03/2017 07:44

I think they could snap up quite a few labour too. My constituency was lib dem til 2015. I think it will swing back to punish labour for corbyn and brexit.

High remain labour areas I think will go libdem unless the sitting MP is really representative but even then it could be close. It's terrible but as a labour member and supporter who thinks our MP is great (anti corbyn pro brexit) even I can see the appeal

Imjustapoorboy · 28/03/2017 07:46

Damn! Pro remain not pro brexit

smashedinductionhob · 28/03/2017 08:13

I'd be tempted to stick with current MP there.....

OP posts:
Imjustapoorboy · 28/03/2017 08:15

It's a marginal seat. Anti corbyn and remain sentiment may swing it back to the libdems. If they do a good campaign they are in with a good chance. The labour party knows it
