Noise enforcement squad!
Where's the landlady? Surfer?
We've been advised of a a lock in and it's reported that the jukebox has been stuck playing Pulp - Common People - all night.

It doesn't matter if it was a man or a woman.

I agree some posts were spiteful but the lashing out is borne of frustration.

Your girl crush on red is most odd as you never actually comment on the contents of what she posts.

Similarly there's a thread on here asking how those who voted for immigration reasons want to see it controlled and none of the usual faces from here have anything to say on that thread yet you've repeatedly told us you did vote because of immigration.

It's the lack of depth to your comments/ beliefs that is incredibly frustrating coupled with the lengths many go to to avoid the subject, despite posting in this section.

MangoMoon · 11/11/2016 12:11

Foxtrot Whiskey worked too actually.

Foxy was indeed a complete newark.

The only posts from Leavers on this thread today have been slagging off small/vulpe whatever- rather proves her point doesn't it, even if she did go about it in the wrong way.

surferjet · 11/11/2016 12:43

Think it's time you left this thread Bearbehind - anyone who sticks up for a banned poster who comes back to send abusive PM's, isn't really creating a good atmosphere. The only reason we're talking about her is because she came back under 3 different names to have a go at us.

Bearbehind · 11/11/2016 12:58

surfer, I've told you before, you're not the thread police- you can't tell me where I can and can't post.

I'm not defending said posters methods, only the underlying principle of the point they were trying to make.

You lot slagging them off and calling them a wanker and saying fuck you is ok then is it? That's creating a 'good' atmosphere because you can all join in?

IamWendy · 11/11/2016 13:17

Well, at least smallfox still has her luvvies in shoredich, until her temper gets her banned from there too Grin
I assume I was meant to feel jealous of her membership of a London club?
Give me the view of open fields, and my status as 'regular' at the local tea rooms any day.

I too shall raise a glass in toast.......To friends near, and friends dear, and friends far away, thank God!Wine

InfiniteSheldon · 11/11/2016 13:23

Well that was an interesting catchup on the thread what bizarre behaviour to use several monikers and pm people to get the last nasty word in. And Bear we've all given up replying to your interrogations as you fail to listen to answers.

Bearbehind · 11/11/2016 13:46

infinite it's not the case that I don't listen to answers, it's just, on the rare occasions they are forthcoming, they always generate more questions for me and they get ignored.

Also, I think the Leave crew might look a bit closer to home wrt banned posters- one of your number has been noted by her absence in the last few days following several deleted posts for offensive name calling.

IamWendy · 11/11/2016 14:19

Oh! It's not Winchester is it??? But bear, to quote you "I agree some posts were spiteful but the lashing out is borne of frustration"
And smallfox, you, and possibly others were being particularly goady to her.

winterisnigh · 11/11/2016 14:21

I am just catching up too Infinite, what D.R.A.M.A. Shock

I just feel cringey reading the PM re Shoreditch house or whatever how embarrassing ,

IamWendy - loving your jazz hands.

I must admit I have been laughing my head off at this new bizarre situation we find ourselves in with regards to Farage and Trump. I saw a clip of an interview with Farage and in a very jokey off the cuff way he mentioned he could be the adult in the room to make sure Trump doesn't grope TM. It was light hearted and is now being reported that Farage wants to be with Trump and be his ambassador to the EU.

I find it highly amusing we have this new turn of events. Who would have thunk it!

Mango, I am wendy and howabout, your doing very well on this thread, in the face of it all, very well. Smile

winterisnigh · 11/11/2016 14:22

WW was goaded and goaded to the ninth degree.

Are there any MN rules about doggedly goading someone and going on and on and on to them?

howabout · 11/11/2016 14:31

Bear just google Govanhill or George Galloway and Sputnik. The area is of particular interest to him as when NS was at Glasgow Uni he was her local MP in Hillhead and there were similar issues related to private landlords there. Govanhill is within NS's constituency and coincidentally where my Great Aunt lived. I passed through the area this time last year on my way to visit the Turner exhibition at the Tramway. Hillhead is now a largely socially cleansed area of des res - but that is a whole other thread.

I am not talking about illegal immigrants. The Roma are here legally but are in exploitative relationships with those who house them and paid for their passage to the UK. I am in slight disbelief that you do not understand how begging gangs, sexual exploitation, drug pushing networks etc work Hmm. To track down the source of those holding power over them would take a great deal of EU co-operation which is demonstrably not in place. The ECJ policing of FOM to date has in fact I would argue put significant obstacles in the way of effective pan EU policing of this issue. The tragic case of the teenage London girl killed by a known re-offending risk which EU systems failed to track and monitor also springs to mind. So much better and more straightforward to have decent border control and clear deportation rules within the UK imho.

In contrast the Australian couple were acting perfectly legally until they were caught by a retroactive change to immigration rules. To save embarrassment the UK government allowed them to stay on a grace and favour basis and their current immigration status is now dependent on their continuing specific employment conditions afaik.

I am enjoying my last half hour of peace before I go and collect teeny so I will leave you to it for now. Brew

BoredofBrexit · 11/11/2016 14:47

The poster occasionally known as smallfox probably reported WW.

OP posts:
surferjet · 11/11/2016 14:51

WW gone?

winterisnigh · 11/11/2016 14:51

surely a PBP cant goad a poster under new name and then get them banned for reacting? surely?

winterisnigh · 11/11/2016 14:52

IF WW has gone, who knows Hmm

Bearbehind · 11/11/2016 14:53

Thanks for the update howabout

I've tried googling Sputnik but when I saw a post that said episode 146 I decided not to check them all to find the relevant one!

This actually could have been resolved yesterday if you'd said these people weren't illegal immigrants as that was the whole reason for my question.

Interestingly when I did Google Roma and Glasgow (aside from the fact there's a restaurant with that name there ) this article came up.

Two sides to every story and all that but it seems a far cry from the situation you were describing if Glasgow is being hailed for how they intergrate this community.

Bearbehind · 11/11/2016 14:55

I don't know if she's gone, all I know is she had a load of posts deleted the other day and after doorbell gate and hasn't been around since.

time4chocolate · 11/11/2016 16:10

I hope she is still around and just taking a breather but it wouldn't surprise me if 'small' took someone down with her.

Southallgirl · 11/11/2016 16:15

The suggestion that the Illuminati worried is a totally bullshit idea

Don't say that to Alex Jones!

IamWendy · 11/11/2016 16:21

Winchester! Come back!! But make sure you call yourself Winchester woman1 so we know it's you, after all, we are suffering with an intelligence deficit you know Wink
(Hope you are still at least lurking ww, here in spirit)

winterisnigh · 11/11/2016 16:27

Hopefully she is just stepping back, the insane dogging and following and questioning does get one down.

MangoMoon · 11/11/2016 16:30

Dave Zabiega, Sustainable Communities Coordinator for the housing association, said the organisation puts the population in the half square mile to be between 17,000 and 18,000.

Shock

I get the point of the article being about all the ways that Glasgow are working to try and mitigate the effect, but over 17000 people living in a half square mile!
It's pretty obvious why that could be perceived as problematic.

surferjet · 11/11/2016 16:36

Yes, hopefully she's just taking a break, but if it is room 101, a reminder to keep everything friendly, we don't want to lose anyone else.

Anyway. Back to intelligent in depth debate.

Tim Farron. What a dick.
