I am mortified. Someone take him out of there.

Can you see this Biscuit Horrible person.

DeloresJaneUmbridge · 28/06/2016 12:52

Take a look at the response on his,FB page and weep. I truly am ashamed to be British after that poster and after his behaviour today.
Fuck off Nigel you do NOT speak for me.

MitzyLeFrouf · 28/06/2016 12:53

Trini dear, I don't think this thread is very good for your wellbeing.

Have some Flowers

burnishedsilver · 28/06/2016 12:56

Does he not usually turn up? Is that what the "what are you doing here?" comment was about? I missed that.

crossroads3 · 28/06/2016 12:59

I have managed not to see any of the interviews with fuckwit since last Thursday I am happy to say, and want to keep it that way.

The man is beyond appalling.

MitzyLeFrouf · 28/06/2016 12:59

Let's just say he doesn't exactly have the best attendance record. Over the three years he was a member of the European Parliament Fisheries Committee, he attended 1 out of 42 meetings. But he really cares about British fishermen............

DailyMailEthicalFail · 28/06/2016 13:01

3in1 Hmm. Okay Wink
But you might fall in luuurve with a luffly Scottish accent, discover the owner is not so lovely, and get stuck here (re property prices etc). Learn from me, and don't do it!

I don't think anyone in Europe thinks that Nige speaks for us all.

Juncker had his wee rant. Farage had his. Dutch chap mentioned the Nazi's (it was like MN bingo). It's all done and dusted now.

Bet DC will feel like a berk though. Invited for dinner but not breakfast!

AdrenalineFudge · 28/06/2016 13:02

Nigel hardly ever turns up. Hardly. I used to work for the EC and saw this. However, I also happen to think that Juncker is a twat.

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 28/06/2016 13:03

Does he not usually turn up

Lighteningirll · 28/06/2016 13:04

As usual the PO of mn misread the rest of the country that was a great speech calling for common sense and pragmatism. We need to move forward now and this was a great first step.

smallfox1980 · 28/06/2016 13:05

The man's an arse, a gigantic flaming arse, as is anyone who liked this speech.

"The EU needs us more than we need it."

Then why isn't Angela Merkel falling over herself to start informal negotiations? Why aren't all of the other countries saying that?

Oh maybe, just maybe Nigel you have misjudged how important we are.

Also someone who spent his time as a forex trader, following leaving private school, who got his job there through family connections shouldn't really be talking about people doing a proper job, he has spent longer at the EU than he did in his previous career too. Arsehole!

grannytomine · 28/06/2016 13:06

I had to turn it off, I couldn't bear to watch him.

MitzyLeFrouf · 28/06/2016 13:08

'that was a great speech calling for common sense and pragmatism. We need to move forward now and this was a great first step.'

Er, no. That was a speech aimed at pissing off the very people the UK will need to negotiate with. Not very clever. Anyone with half a brain can surely see that.

MitzyLeFrouf · 28/06/2016 13:09

"The EU needs us more than we need it."

Even for Nige that was an almighty WTF moment. The chortles of laughter from the other MEPs rather confirm that.

3in1swimsoap · 28/06/2016 13:10

I hear your warnings Daily Thanks still that voice Grin

3in1swimsoap · 28/06/2016 13:13

nige on the other hand reminds me of Hitler. AH was also laughed at and despised by the 'decent' people of Germany and the rest of Europe. He appealed to the most disenfranchised people first and as nationalist sentiments and his popularity grew combined with his management by fear polite society joined the club of thugs.

PoisonousSmurf · 28/06/2016 13:16

He's like some kind of panto villain...

Somerville · 28/06/2016 13:21

3in1 - Grin

I never knew a Scottish accent did it for me. Though I think it's the combination of that, how deep his voice is, and standing up for his country.

Anyway, ahem. I can't stand Juncker but Farage, I felt, was worse. He has won, he should have been magnanimous.

DailyMailEthicalFail · 28/06/2016 13:23

3in1 step away from the husky voice....

but - can we stop comparing anyone to Hitler please?

DailyMailEthicalFail · 28/06/2016 13:25

Somerville you too.

careful now, as Farage could be seen to be 'standing up for his country too'. do you secretly fancy him (admit it, you know you want to?!) Wink

Somerville · 28/06/2016 13:27

What's the problem with Scottish property prices?

DailyMailEthicalFail · 28/06/2016 13:35

I meant that, if you go falling for a husky Scottish voice (owner) and thus hang around in Scotland for a bit then decide you want to go back down south you will struggle to afford a shoebox.

And you do know that, if you are possessed of a Home Counties accent (which I appreciate you may not be) then you might not be all that welcome up here don't you? (esp since the last IndyRef and it's all stoking up again)?

3in1swimsoap · 28/06/2016 13:43

Daily I am not comparing Frage with AH and it would be wrong to do so. What I was trying to say (probably not very successfully) is how initially AH was perceived as embarrassing and lowly by the German middle and upper classes at the time but that his simplistic and nationalistic speeches appealed to the German people who felt disenfranchised and responded well to the 'jews undermining our society' rhetoric. It was only much later that the polite classes succumbed to his evil charm. Now most of us are laughing at Nigel and I hope this will not ever change.

3in1swimsoap · 28/06/2016 13:44
  • Daily I am not comparing Frage with AH and it would be wrong to do so. but reading back my previous post I can see how I expressed it clumsily, I hope i made it clearer.
Somerville · 28/06/2016 13:45

Ah. Sounds like you're a bit stuck, sorry. Flowers

I will leave husky Scottish voice-owners alone. But might ask the Londoner boyfriend if he can do one. Wink
