Schoolblazer uniform costs

I can not believe how much schoolblazer keeps increasing the cost of our school’s uniform. I am in discussion with our school about it but I could do with some evidence of other school’s costs that are also obliged to use schoolblazer.

if you have to buy your child’s blazer from www.schoolblazer.com please could you tell me the current price? (You don’t need to name the school)

Ours is now £94 🙈

TIA x

Very limited sympathy for private school parents to be honest - if the uniform is too expensive then don't send your child there.

State schools should have a more inclusive policy though. Ours (London comp with 30% FSM) has its own local supplier and blazers are around £40 which seems par for the course. They are polyester but wash / dry quickly and wear well.

My kids only had two each through their whole five years there so not unreasonable at all for me who could afford it, but still a lot of money for some families. (There's also a regulation kilt and PE kit to fund; everything else can be bought "off the peg")

Why so antagonistic... No one in any sector would pull a child out of a school because of the uniform. That doesn't mean that you don't care how much it costs or if its value for money.

Blazer is optional at my son's secondary school. The school also gives each pupil a free time.

The uniform is white shirt, black trousers or skirt and black V-neck jumper or cardigan, black shoes. I can get all of this cheaply at supermarket or m&s/next.

They do a blazer which I think is about £50 but not many S1-S3 wear it, it seems to be mostly seniors and they have branded jumpers but nobody has those because they're like £20 each.

DD’s most recent blazer was £38 not from school blazer but local school shop. She did have a primary school that used school blazer and it was eye wateringly expensive. Tracksuit bottoms with logo were £45 and a poor fit for a girl. I bought £9 bottoms from Sports direct that actually fitted her and went to local dry cleaners that did logo embroidery and for £7 got them done with logo. School didn’t even notice.

Ours (state grammar) and pure wool was £130 but I think they are introducing a synthetic fibre one for £75 ish this year.

It's not just the blazer, the games top alone is £60....

£60 for a game top in a state school is bonkers.
My DC like their high school blazers as they ran every pocket full of stuff. £40
