I wan;t to do the cake stall and be all Ma Larkin with my scrummy cakes and pinifore - sadly I had other things that had to be done and the wanker had DD for the weekend and I did not want to bump into him there - although in the end he couldn't be arsed to take her!!

CountessDracula · 24/06/2004 15:04

White elephant so can nick all the best bits

littlemissbossy · 24/06/2004 15:05

standing behind any table/stall all day ... boring walk around with the raffle tickets, good idea, you get to have a gossip along the way and because no-one can refuse a buy a raffle ticket you have a great opportunity to force all the really tight people to spend money they don't want to

yes beety it worked - what a good idea! When I said tea towel, we've had ones where all the kids in the school (village school, not that many kids) drew a picture of themselves and they had them made into tea towels

codswallop · 24/06/2004 15:57

Beety, DS1 was given that bear with his nursery logo on it when he left! It was so lovely.

SoupDragon · 24/06/2004 16:19

Oh, and to answer your question, I'm with Lou. None of them! DS1s class has been allocated the Lucky Dip stall which is probably a good one.

codswallop · 24/06/2004 16:22

I'm with lou33, couldn't stand it I'm afraid. Fortunately we were on holiday this year .

SoupDragon · 24/06/2004 16:36

I'm doing the posters and programme - no contact with the public required!

lou33 · 24/06/2004 16:41

Luckily I don't do the school runs so can have no interaction at all

Bagpuss30 · 24/06/2004 16:41

shudders at the word committee.....

Flip · 24/06/2004 17:22

I'm on the committee at ds1's school. It's my way of saying sorry for putting such a brat into their school.

I've been going around harassing local businesses for support and prizes. I'm also running the bouncy castle and making balloon animals. The mother-in-law has been making cakes all week and at the last count there were over a hundred.

The fair is this weekend and rain looks likely so I think it's wellies and waterproof coats.
