KS2 - LEVEL 6???

My daughter is apparently being tutored at school for level 6 at KS2. However, I understand from a website that level 6 extension papers finished last year. Can any of the teachers explain how level 6 can be achieved? Sorry to be ignorant.

Popsy - I vowed I wouldn't bring this up on your bday (happy bday by the way) but I rang QCA AGAIN today and they confirmed AGAIN there is no level 6. It saves me saying to her teacher ..."my friend Popsycal said there was no level 6...."

Me: I just wondered if you did put X in for level 6's this week as last time we spoke you were hoping to.

Her: Well, what happened on MOnday is the Head and I opened the box of questions and there were no level 6 papers in the box. They can't get a level 6 anymore, this is the first year they've done this. The highest they can get is a 5.

Me: Well that's still good isn't it?

Her: Oh yes, but the more able will be going on the QCA website Gifted and Talented.

Me: Okay thanks. Have a good day.
