Please tell me your iui stories and journeys? Currently in 2ww.

@BananaHammock23 I'm hoping that it all goes well for you. Didn't you say they had changed up your medication this time round? Hopefully that will make a difference.

@BananaHammock23 that's great news, fingers crossed everything lines up this time and you get to actually have the treatment this time round!

@LifeIsBusy oh no! You should go to Costco it you have one. You get like 200 ice poles for about £10. And they are lush!

Yep @LifeIsBusy - they've upped the dose of Menopur and downed the Buseralin, so fingers crossed it works this time! If I overproduce then they're going to 'pop' a few eggs (ughhh!) but hopefully it won't come to that

@Tasha1607 so far so good.... All food is still in my belly so the irn bru and ice poles appear to be helping. The daily headache and the tiredness appears to be ramping up though. How about you?

Side note, the clinic emailed my doctor saying my EDD was 29th July 2020 which I queried and they've come back and said 23rd April.... So I'm slightly confused how I was 8+1 the same date as you. I'm just gonna wait until 12w scan for confirmation.

Baseline scan went to plan yesterday and we've started injecting again today. Trying my best to stay calm and stress-free, eating an abnormal amount of pineapple. I hope so desperately that we'll be able to go ahead with treatment this time that I'm not even thinking as far ahead as actually getting pregnant! One day at a time. Next scan Tuesday, hoping my ovaries will take better to stimulation this time!

@Maddie020, the wait is over. How are you doing?

@BananaHammock9 still surviving. I'm glad your baseline scan went well. When do you go back?

@LifeIsBusy is your sickness still bad? They're scanning me on Tuesday, so 5 days in. Last time they left it a week and by then I had been under stimulated for too long and it was too late really. They pushed it for a few days but it wasn't worth it. This time we've gone in hard at the beginning, so just hoping I don't over produce!

@LifeIsBusy I know but I am so scared to test ... my temp have been dropped since last 2 days, shall I test or wait till my af date passes(it's due tomorrow)

Fingers crossed for you @Maddie020! You must have the patience of a saint, I think I'll struggle not to start testing the day after the bloody IUI!

but checked this morning and it was BFN - sad is understatement and bbt has gone down to the rock bottom, so looks like definitely 1st IUI did not work, AF hasn't arrived though but I guess it will soon

I have a question ladies, I would be grateful if you can share ur knowledge
This was my first IUI- does the chances go higher with each IUI
Also, I have low AMH(6.8), how many chances are there to be successful with IUI in this case OR am I having false hope and should move to IVF?
I really want to try these 3 IUI NHS has offered me but as I am also taking Clomid with it, I wonder I am gonna lose all the eggs I have

I'm so sorry @Maddie020 - you must be gutted. I do stimulated IUI but not with clomid so cant offer much advice. I have to say that of the three couples I know who have tried IUI, none have had success and have since moved on to IVF. That said, I've still gone forward with IUI knowing this (and we have to go private because we're in a same-sex relationship). I feel like it's worth a shot but I do understand your frustration. Last cycle we had to abandon after stimulation because my ovaries weren't responding and I really didn't think I had another go in me but here we are!

@Maddie020 im not sure what my AMH level was but I have a range of friends all with totally different stories and different ages. From all the graphs, and figures the chances are the first 6 rounds are key if it is going to work so you just keep to keep the faith.

I'm sorry about the BFN, did AF arrive?

Sorry to hear the first IUI didn't work @Maddie020. I'm no expert as haven't had our first yet but everything I've read seems to suggest that the chances of success increase slightly with each go. The more goes you have the more chance it'll eventually work I suppose.

With any luck we'll have our first round in about a months time. I'm really not expecting it to work first time, so trying to go into it as a sort of test run, to get an idea of how it all works etc.

Totally understand your disappointment though.

@ally99101 I wish I'd thought about my first go as a test run! I think it's a great attitude and it really helps as there are so many learnings to be had the first time. Are you having stimulation? My meds were way off the first time, so this time we've hopefully nailed them (will find out in my scan on Tuesday!). The first one was a test to see what happened, but I only think that in hindsight! I was devastated at the time we had to abandon

@BananaHammock23 fingers crossed your medication is right this time and all looks good on Tuesday!!!

We're going unmedicated as suggested by the consultant, although I think we still use the trigger shot? That's what the nurse said when we spoke to her during the week anyway. I really hope we do, as anything that makes the whole thing a little less like 'guesswork' has got to be a good thing.

I've got my second scan tomorrow at 12pm and I'm really anxious to see whether the stimulation has worked this time. I've felt some twinges but I don't know if I'm just hoping my ovaries are working!!

Just had my scan! Much more positive this time - I've got four follicles responding to the stims, two are over 10 so there's a hope we can go forward with IUI on Monday. Got another scan on Friday so we'll see. Keeping everything crossed that this is the round that works for me... even if I just get to the IUI itself!

That's amazing @BananaHammock23! That's great news, certainly sounds like things are lining up right and that you'll hopefully get as far as having the treatment this time.

Out of interest, what day of your cycle would Monday be if IUI was to go ahead then?

I would be day 13 on Monday. Typically the one night we've got something planned with friends... not sure whether to cancel and spend the night with my legs in the air eating pineapple. What did you all do?!
