Chains are being greased and oiled as I type. Crush barriers being erected. “Special” sauces are being prepared…. all for the biggest push bike race in the world.

Is the MN peloton pumping some air in our tyres?

I'm on TNT but i know others who are watching australian coverage on SBS (I think it's called SBS) via a VPN.

So on a computer? No way of watching on normal TV in the UK?

If you have the right cable you can use a TV as an external monitor, and display everything on your computer on the TV. Easy with a laptop, more faff with a desktop computer of course.

Yeah, I guess I could run a cable from my laptop to (ancient) TV with the right adapter as TV doesn't have HDMI only SCART. What a faff.

My tech support gremlin has managed to hook it up to the telly somehow but I couldn't tell you how. It is however most annoying that the gentleman's TdF was available on free telly even if highlights only, and the women's TdF is not and then everyone wonders why one of these things is more popular than the other.

Not only that but, although TNT says it offers coverage of each stage from start to finish, it doesn't actually start it's broadcast until 2.30, and so misses the first half of the stage

And its coverage is crap. Bring back Gary Imlach. I'd even settle for bringing back Orla...

I think that's an issue with all the TV providers tbh - they can only show what French TV cameras are giving them, and with the women they're not turning them on until mid afternoon. Sigrid Haugset made her decisive move considerably before the cameras started rolling, it's infuriating.

TNT have said every day this week that they are showing everything that the host broadcasters are providing them. Unfortunately French TV don't seem to think the Femmes race is as worthy as the Men's as they can't be bothered to film it all. It's quite disgusting.

Apparently they are only filming 3 stages in full which are the first day, the last day and one mid-week (Wednesday?).
