If nothing else, it irritates me by saying that it starts on Friday

I’m here for it. Annoyingly I’m going out on Saturday (I have a one year old, this doesn’t happen often!) so will need to catch up straight away.

So many strong young riders out there and have really enjoyed watching The Tour Unchained on netflix. Got to know more about their personalities and lives away from the sport.

Unfortunately, I'm not taking a holiday in Provence this year to spend all day sitting in a bar watching...

Great that it's this time of year again - really looking forward to another TdF. Just making last minute tweaks to the team, but could really do with a bigger budget! I think half the peloton has been in and out of my team already.

My team is mostly chosen for sentimental reasons, with only two chosen because they might actually get points (Vingegaard and Pedersen the head over heart sprinter choice ) and Bernal because I could afford him

I wanted to put Louis Meintjes into my team but couldn't because I wouldn't let go of my sentimental choice of the two French climbers: Pinot and Alaphilippe, nor give up Cavendish and Pedersen to. E able to use the Wildcard

Ah, a new thread for a new tour. Am very excited. There's going to be a Netflix Cav documentary out at the beginning of August too - here's hoping they have to do some last minute editing to update the number of wins.

Happy Tour de France day to all who celebrate. I've gone (as always) with heart over head for my team and just chosen a load of riders who I like.

Just hoping for an exciting, safe tour and not one decided by accidents or covid.

Sitting in a Bilbao hotel this morning with the Citroën cycling team also staying here. Saw them at breakfast, all 6ft plus and bodies to die for.
Unfortunately catching the ferry back to UK today, pure coincidence being here at the same time!

several of the teams do their autumn/ winter training here on the Northern Costa Blanca so we are lucky to (be burned off 🥴) pedalling the same tarmac every day as many of the pros. We regularly see them troughing a mountain of pasta at the local cafes after a 180km leg stretch 🥴😂

I ended up on a TdF thread years ago when bf'ing DS in the middle of the night. I learned so much & always look out for the threads now.
