Okay, time to clip in, or out...fill those bidons, and get our merde together.....we roll out from Wonderful Copenhagen for the biggest push bike competition on the planet.
Not sure where velogames are actually up to, but nevertheless we go on Friday. Will set up the league later today. Time to consider options........and who we will curse with selections...will post the link shortly..

It looks lovely, I will add it to my list.

I shall enjoy my time in yellow in the league too. Not sure if it's going to last....

Day 6, another puncheures stage it looks like. And the break away thing. Sagan? WVA again?
So we've lost another 3 riders..not incl Haigh (sorry MrsA). A LOT of team choices as to who is riding for who. Rather pleased with one of the Yates quintet.

Cordelia we seem to have pulled away from the group....but yes, that aint going to last is it?

And DA well done for nosing ahead of the person you are associated with.

@Pan2 that's DH It's about the only thing I've got to be pleased about, considering my woeful league showing. DH is blaming his poor performance on only having literally ten minutes before the deadline to do it so he didn't have time to read the rules. Yes dear, I said, I'm sure that's it...

Oh my goodness, that was exciting today! What a finish.
Gutted for Kämna even though I was rooting for Pog. I hope he never turns out to be a baddie because he comes across as a very likeable young man, as well as having absolutely insane talent. I hope he isnt too good to be true.

That climb at the end was remarkable, n'est-ce pas? It looked like one of those slopes I'd have trouble walking up, never mind getting up on Spech.

Day 8 another up and down day, esp the up bit at the end. Bet they are all looking fwd to it....

Oh heck, lost two riders to Covid this morning - Stake Laengen and Bouchard. Them's the breaks!

Yes it's an added jeopardy, isn't it - even if they don't fall off the rona could still strike.

I've only just realised that I lost a rider before the race even started : Daryl Impey who was a close contact of someone with a positive Covid. It was last minute as they'd hoped he would be able to compete.

But confusingly, he was awarded 8 points in Stage 5

Day 9 already! Looks like it could be another break away challenge right to the line again, as they wonder across the border back into France and the Haute-Savoie region, though probs pausing at Montreux to listen to some cool jazz and tip a hat at Freddie's memorial.
Poss rouleur victor - is WVA going to lock up the green jersey before the first week is out?

In other news, IF you put your iphone 12 through a 30 degree wash-rinse-spin cycle then an added 1400rpm spin, it will be fine, and a lot cleaner.

That Peak Walk? Suspended bridge between peaks? I can't emphasise enough.............just no.

Day 10 is advertised in the official guide as a day of "gentle recovery", though some riders may raise a Parisian eyebrow at that.
It's still a lumpy affair with a gradual rise and final kick up at the end.
Is it probs a day where the GC people look to not loose time and so a break away could capitlaiize?

Also, with the brutal week coming we could be looking at drop outs through illnesses via gallons of fluid going through stomachs?

Am also loving the reported Strava records re professionals v amatuers..

Also Cordelia I've had the jersey laundered and kept in it's cellophane wrapping ready for handover. Or perhaps to you Felicity ?

I have tried to time my sunflowers in the garden for the latter stages of the Tour, but this year they are happy to sit in the groupetta/broom wagon.

I'm glad to be back on the sofa watching today. My son took me on a far too long rest day ride yesterday and I acquired a saddle sore...ouch.

Well that was almost too much to fit into an hour's highlights.
I am happy that there's been a bit of a reshuffle, makes it much more exciting. I know where I'm going to be tomorrow - in front of the telly watching the Alp.

Quite! They didn't have time to show WVA's herding of teammates and cut straight to him flagging slowly up the hill once spent.

We'll be watching in the afternoon tomorrow too - DD is at nursery so just the DTs to wrangle which makes paying attention much easier (had to watch the last 5k today whilst also reading books/doing Peppa Pig stickers 🙄)

Well that was a thing! It's all pretty much all over the place isn't it, so there are podium potentials for lots of riders. And of course excellent to see G riding away from the yellow jersey.

Out with daughter for lunch tomorrow, so it will be on record for when I get home.
