Until Friday I thought G would win. I wonder if, as team leader, he gave Bernal the go ahead to go for the win... I love that on Saturday G rode to protect Bernal's lead. That's what a team player does.

I don't know. I thought that Ineos were trying to drop Alaphilippe and then G looked strong to attack as well but then the stage got cancelled which scuppered their plans and landed Bernal in 1st place. I get the impression that Brailsford doesn't care who wins as long as it's Ineos.
