Well I accidentally went to the beach for the rest of the day and forgot my phone but it wasn't really in protest at the UCI, so now all I know is the overall GC and not how on earth we ended up there!

There were attacks. Many, various. Some more successful than others. And some very fast descending.

Just glad it didn't rain during the descent - at least until all the main contenders had finished.

Ds and I were saying how scary it is watching the descents with the hairpins and sheer drops

Glad I missed that bit, I still get chills thinking about how Phillipe Gilbert just disappeared down behind that wall going fast on a descent corner. Had no idea how far he'd fallen. Ugh.

Yes, well remembered prettybird, my most favourite TdF viewing buddy has been in hospital for 6 years now from what was probably a second hit concussion. Miss the old him very much on the sprint stages, he'd have a LOT of opinions on Cav being left out of the tour!
