Used to wear them at school - 1960's - Bristol area - daps.

Plimsolls had laces & were white.

Ugly, or just slip-ons.

(Not from the UK).

I have heard of thm being called daps, too.

Plimsolls were what posh people called them.

(Nottinghamshire)

Sannies (sand shoes) - Glasgow.
DM calls them 'bumpers' - Glasgow also.

They're pumps in Liverpool
