Sand-shoes Newcastle Upon Tyne

Now live in Nottingham and they're plimsolls-I don't mind my kids calling them that that as long as they pronounce scone and tongue properly Grin

First thought was plimsoles then pumps...so both I guess! Born in Norfolk raised in South Yorks. Not sure what my parents would call them, plimsoles I think.

Daps - Bristol. Ages since I heard them called that (comes over ll nostalgic) I have to call them pumps or plimsolls so that everyone understands what I mean!

Daps, SW Wales, but although we never used the word we understood that people from the posher part of town called them 'plimsolls' (strange creatures they were)
