Daps. Originally West of England. I still have my dap bag from junior school, it's about 45 years old now.

I was in a school a while ago in Middle England and said something like "Change into your daps because your shoes are muddy." I might as well have spoken in another language for all the sense it seemed to make.

Pumps are what you blow up balloons or tyres with. Grin
