AitchTwoOh · 10/04/2008 14:30

is your bf that incredibly handsome chap on your profile, zippi? if so, he is a good thing.

CatIsSleepy · 10/04/2008 14:31

i don't listen to radio 2 either even though everyone's always going on about how great it is these days

AitchTwoOh · 10/04/2008 14:31

i'm strictly R4. although this afternoon play is doiing my head in.

CatIsSleepy · 10/04/2008 14:31

OP posts:
CatIsSleepy · 10/04/2008 14:32

ooh now I like an afternoon play
though some are a bit strange
i liked the recent ones they had on a friday about a cake club, there was a whole series of them
R4 is constantly burbling away in our house
except at god-time on sunday mornings

AitchTwoOh · 10/04/2008 14:33

you may have done, zip. he is seared into my memory in all his specky wondrousness.

DaDaDa · 10/04/2008 14:33

Yes CatisSleepy. It's got ace Style Council/Spands type '80's guitar playing on it. Clever.

I love Norah too. Aural morphine.

I am not Mr Inferior. Mr Inadequate perhaps...?

zippitippitoes · 10/04/2008 14:33

i was on some stairs if i recall correctly

i was in his bed at the time

OP posts:
CatIsSleepy · 10/04/2008 14:34

motherinferior · 10/04/2008 14:36

I am one of the MNers who listen to country music on Radio 2 .

zippitippitoes · 10/04/2008 14:37

i am a member of the national trust tho which is possibly a reason for liking duffy cd

OP posts:
zippitippitoes · 10/04/2008 14:39

at the same time as i bought duffy i bought the killers and we are scientists

OP posts:
moondog · 10/04/2008 14:42

An intersting mix Zippi.

zippitippitoes · 10/04/2008 14:44

duffy is probably an anomaly

OP posts:
Boco · 10/04/2008 14:51

I'm loving Beirut at the moment. I'm going to go and find some on youtube hang on...

you have to stick with it - he's very clever and lovely

lilibet · 10/04/2008 15:55

Moondog - "The kind of people who buy it are the kind of people who don't really like music at all .They would also have stuff like Simple Red's Greatest Hits and Coldplay in their collection. "

Nothing like generalisations, is there?

With over 500 lp s (yep I'm that old) and in the region of 2000 cds, dh and I tend to have a bit of everything, from classical to soul, to folk, to reggae to metal so please don't tell me that I don't like music because I have a Duffy cd.

The woman has a good voice, not the best in the world ( Maria Callas/Aretha Frankin/Sarah Vaughn woud get my vote for women singers), why does she inspire such commetns from you?

zippitippitoes · 10/04/2008 16:48
