zippitippitoes · 10/04/2008 14:08

OP posts:
moondog · 10/04/2008 14:10

That's it Boco.
(Although-tiny voice-I do rather like Norah. Is that so bad?? I like Led Zepp. and Bob Dylan too (even dodgy mid period stuff) which I hope redeEms me somewhAT.)

CatIsSleepy · 10/04/2008 14:12

well I guess norah, katie et al are so innocuous as to be aural wallpaper

not sure if duffy falls into that category as have not heard whole album

helllooooo lulu fans are you out there??

moondog · 10/04/2008 14:13

Dunno if it's this song. I don't watch programmes like that, even if they are in Welsh.

moondog · 10/04/2008 14:13

Lulu is and was a groover.

booge · 10/04/2008 14:15

"I would say, the type of people who liked David Gray back in the day, and before that Portishead. No judgements, just one of those ubiquitous dinner-party zeitgeist thingies."

Portishead and Duffy, different league.

moondog · 10/04/2008 14:16

The woman I share an office with plays David Grey on her laptop.
I ask her to trun it off.

booge · 10/04/2008 14:18

I would too, both David Grey and Duffy are derivative, light, fluffy and a bit icky.

CatIsSleepy · 10/04/2008 14:18

good lord i should hope so too moondog

zippitippitoes · 10/04/2008 14:19

isnt dasvid grey the one who sang that on monday on tuesday business

OP posts:
moondog · 10/04/2008 14:19

I have no truck with music of any sort during office hours.
We are there to work dammit.

CatIsSleepy · 10/04/2008 14:20

zippi isn't that craig david?

zippitippitoes · 10/04/2008 14:21

i did profess ignornace

OP posts:
moondog · 10/04/2008 14:22

Craig David is unspeakably bad.

CatIsSleepy · 10/04/2008 14:22

we have music in the lab
but not in the office that would be wrong

is music in the office worse than MNing in the office?

CatIsSleepy · 10/04/2008 14:23

david gray waggles his head weirdly when he sings, does that help zippi? am trying to think of songs but my mind's gone blank

CatIsSleepy · 10/04/2008 14:23

and i can't think of craig david without thinking of the puppet on Bo Selecta

AitchTwoOh · 10/04/2008 14:24

moony i'm listening to that youtube thing... isn't welsh funny?

DaDaDa · 10/04/2008 14:25

I think '50 quid man' would have bought it when it first came out.

And people who listen to Radio 2 a lot and like 'ballsy' female singers.

I wouldn't discount myself from either group demographically, but I don't much like 'ballsy' female singers. 'Mercy' sounds good (think Bernard Butler produced it) but the lyrics are rubbish.

That latest Girls Aloud single is cracking though.

zippitippitoes · 10/04/2008 14:25

no not really

also dont have much idea who norah jones and kate melua are as they havent registered in my like that part of my brain

clearly david grey hasnt either

craig david is horrid

thought he was a strange link with protishead lol

OP posts:
moondog · 10/04/2008 14:26

Oh she's singing about you Aitch.
Can't be doing with yuo and yer fancy big city ways at all apparently.

motherinferior · 10/04/2008 14:26
zippitippitoes · 10/04/2008 14:26

probably outed myself as someone who never listens to radio 2

OP posts:
moondog · 10/04/2008 14:27

'And people who listen to Radio 2 a lot and like 'ballsy' female singers.'
