I thought it was time to move over here from Telly Addicts as we're now discussing Joseph the musical, and not Any Dream Will Do. The other thread was about to get too full anyway.

maybe he always was....that's why he always wore those fancy caps

I loved ABC as well, but I think they were slightly more acceptable oh and Aztec Camera....feeling very nostalgic now, I wish Smash Hits was still going - I'd probably still buy it they wouldnt be able to print half the lyrics from songs nowadays though.. oh gawd!! sounding like my grandma now..

LyraBelacqua · 30/07/2007 21:49

Aztec Camera? I did like the King of Rock and Roll (that was them wasn't it?)
I used to spend so much time watching MTV (it was all music videos in those days).

binklehasflipped · 30/07/2007 22:00

that was deacon blue I think...

aztec camera did 'somewhere in my heart'

...summer in the city and the air is still, babies been born to the overkill....

or something like that! It was very profound and intensly deep to me being 14/15 at the time - everythings profound and deep when you're 14/15 though isnt it? That's my defence anyway

LyraBelacqua · 30/07/2007 22:05

Definitely wasn't Deacon Blue. I can't stand them.

LyraBelacqua · 30/07/2007 22:07

It was Prefab Sprout.

binklehasflipped · 30/07/2007 22:19

ah yes, that's it I always get those two mixed up.

Hey, did you watch the duran duran live video back in the day - cant remember what it was called but I do remember, very clearly, having some very teenagerish stirrings over simon le bon...lying on stage, drenched in sweat..cor...

bit of a unhealthy sweat fixation on this thread developing..

LyraBelacqua · 30/07/2007 22:21

Wild Boys?

binklehasflipped · 30/07/2007 22:28

may have been - might have been earlier than that - around 'the reflex' era ...

he had on black trews, white soon-to-become-transparent shirt and a sweatband on his wrist and a studded belt, remember like yesterday, I could watch it right now, I was so of Yasmin Le Bon back then - not so much now though bleurgh!

binklehasflipped · 30/07/2007 22:29

do you remember when you used to get big fold-out posters in the centre of Look-in as well?

binklehasflipped · 30/07/2007 22:36

I have to go now - have made a very rash promise to dh to be off the computer by 10.30 tonight so we can spend some 'quality time' and he is already shouting me to say I have gone over...control freakery drives me mad!

night night for now

LyraBelacqua · 30/07/2007 23:18

Sorry, missed your last posts, was on the phone to my sister. Yikes, is that the time!? Off to bed for me...

Berrie · 31/07/2007 12:57

muesli
apple
bite of ds's cheese roll

began vigourous weeding in garden but have had to retreat indoors as am being attacked by biting insects...

Berrie · 31/07/2007 22:04

Oh dear have obviously bored you all to tears...either that, or you are having a real life...how dare you!

oggsfrog · 31/07/2007 22:54

Tsk Berrie, you appear to have caused everyone to descend into a coma

Flying visit.......

I'm 41, only have 1 dd, and don't really like The Smiths/Morrisey.......does this mean I can't be part of the gang anymore??

I do have 2 stone to lose though (actually by the time I return home it will be considerably more than 2 stone )

Have spent 2 hours this evening watching all the Lee clips I haven't been able to watch before now

Ooh, ooh. Getting excited now. A week today....

oggsfrog · 31/07/2007 23:10

It's a bit fuzzy but may I contribute this morsel before I go to bed

Berrie · 01/08/2007 07:50

Oh Oggs it's been a while since we've had any lovely breakfast treats! Thankyou

Berrie · 01/08/2007 08:59

Hope you are having a nice holiday, great weather for you! Can't wait to hear your Lee news!!

BoingBoing · 01/08/2007 09:56

Wakey wakey! Anyone there?

Berrie · 01/08/2007 12:24

Nah Boing, was having a real life like the rest of you...

BoingBoing · 01/08/2007 13:25

My life real? God I hope not!!!! I was rather hoping I'd wake up one morning (next to.....) and realise this was all a dream!

Berrie · 01/08/2007 14:47

Ah but he'd never be there in the evenings...

BoingBoing · 01/08/2007 14:58

Not an issue Berrie. I'm knackered by the end of the day, and rather like early nights - until I'm woken in the wee small hours......

LyraBelacqua · 01/08/2007 23:06

Ah, Oggs, that clip says it all. Sigh.
I've not been on MN today as I finally got my new car and I'm ridiculously excited about it. So I've been on the phone all day sorting out this and that, in between dashing about all over the place with the boys. DS2 has been very ill the last couple of days with the scarlet fever (temp of 40 all day) and I've had no sleep for the lat two nights so I'd better go to bed now.

oggsfrog · 01/08/2007 23:12

Actually feeling quite relieved that I haven't got broadband...........think I would become a virtual groupie, (in fact would quite possibly lead to me leaving home and becoming a real-life groupie )....I'm spending any snatched moments re-fuelling my Lee addiction......all that Lee action at the click of a button....phwooaarr

binklehasflipped · 01/08/2007 23:14

oggs!!!! Not long to go now..is your heart beating that little bit faster yet??
