Good luck everyone for booking tickets today.

Alakazam7 · 30/01/2017 18:33

Just got a phone call from Hamilton access bookings. Got my wheelchair space for 15th March, after all that waiting! Been singing the songs from the show since they rang (think I scared the cat!)

Katymac · 30/01/2017 18:43

Oh Alakazam7 how wonderful, but tbh I don't think much of their system for organising accessible seats Sad - you must be over the moon!

drspouse · 30/01/2017 18:55

I got 2! First week in the Easter holidays so I'll either go down to London and meet a friend there, or we'll all go and get a babysitter.

Thanks Katymac, Yes it's an awful system. One of the worst I've experienced. I'm so thrilled to have my ticket though. Wheelchair spaces are in the stalls in case anyone else wants to know where they are!

Sweetpea021 · 30/01/2017 19:27

Forgot they were on sale today and only looked at about 3pm, ended up with two stalls seat for a Thursday matinee in April 2018, it's the day after my birthday so a little birthday present to myself SmileHope it lives up to the hype! Seems like a loooong way off!

AlexanderHamilton · 04/02/2017 20:44

I've actually watched a bootleg recording of the Broadway show on the Internet before it got deleted.

It was amazing even with a dodgy camera & sound.

So excited for next year.

AlexanderHamilton · 04/02/2017 20:56

Also I've seen two of the cast members just announced perform in other shows & both were fabulous.

theluckiest · 11/03/2017 00:45

I have now been listening to the soundtrack for about 2 months - every time I listen, I find something new. It really is amazing. There are parallels and clever echoes throughout...It's like a gift to anyone writing a musical theatre thesis.

That's all. If you have tickets I am very jealous. If only I had discovered this earlier! Well, if I have to wait until 2019/2020 so be it. I am not standing still, I'm lying in wait...(in joke Grin)

PracticalTacticalBrilliance · 24/03/2017 15:03

I'm very excited about the cast, I've seen a couple of them before, especially Giles Terrera playing Aaron Burr. Can't wait to see who's going to play Hamilton.

The soundtrack just gets better each time you listen to it, although I've had to put myself on a self imposed ban for a bit as it was just going round in my head constantly!

We're not going until Feb 18 but will be doing the lottery once that's announced as there are other people I want to take.

AndPeggySchuyler · 27/03/2017 20:39

Massive fan, I realise I sound dramatic, but I think Hamilton changed my life!! Anyone else completely in love with LMM and his genius? Grin

TheQueenSnortsAvocados · 14/04/2017 11:03

Oh here you all are!
I've got tickets for Feb & April. ☺
Saw Giles Terrera in Avenue Q about 10 years ago, and he was fab. So hoping that LMM does a stint as Hamilton in Feb or April .

saffronwblue · 01/05/2017 11:47

DD(15) and I are totally obsessed. We are in Australia - there is talk of it coming here but nothing definite. Having a mad discussion about 10 days in New York next year to see it!
I love the music, the language, the emotion, the density of ideas, the linkages, the way I notice something new every time I play it. Just love it.

LIZS · 03/11/2017 12:40

New release of tickets today but cheapest I can find is £57.50 for restricted view! Shock Most available are £200.

ginnybag · 03/11/2017 13:59

I got three for Feb 2018 today.

Have a look for less popular dates i.e midweek. Mine are for a Thursday. That restricted view bit means a few inches off the top of the set.

Also, they are starting the lottery once the run starts properly.

LIZS · 03/11/2017 14:00

I was looking at midweek matinees

BaDumShh · 08/11/2017 16:43

I'm going in December, ticket was £200 Shock but hey, Christmas present to myself! I absolutely cannot wait.

VivaLeBeaver · 08/11/2017 16:48

Dd is desperate to go but just too expensive.

bruffin · 09/12/2017 16:45

I saw it Thursday, it was worth the waitGrin
DD was an ardent fan who has been obsessed for a few years, but DS 22 had not heard the music before cant wait to see it again and take his gf.
I loved it myself, i knew a few songs ie Burn which did not disappoint, but in fact was better than i expected

It felt a real occasion, the theatre still smells of new paint, we had a few glimpes of LMM as he sneaked into the box and the beginning and end. John Kerry, John Ham and Steven Marchant were all in the audience

Dunlurking · 09/12/2017 20:44

So pleased to hear at last from someone who has been. We have a family outing in January. How did the ticketing thing work out bruffin? I'm a bit nervous about all that and paranoid my MasterCard will be nicked or cancelled and they won't give me the tickets

I was looking at the book of the libretto in Waterstones today, it's full of background on how it was written - shown here on Amazon - thinking of it as part of dd's Christmas present.

bruffin · 10/12/2017 01:09

Its simple dunlurking
There was a longish queue, but it goes quick.
Then someone checks your id and cc is in same name, the a bag search and then when you arrive at the door there isxsomeone with a handheld machine which you put in your CC and it spews out your tickets.

The merchendise queue was really long , hopefully they will do something about that soon, spparently they were running out on the first night.

Dunlurking · 10/12/2017 08:19

Thanks for the reassurance over the ticketing, and the warning about the merchandise queue bruffin Hope your ds manages to get his tickets.

bruffin · 10/12/2017 11:12

Love this

Dunlurking · 10/12/2017 14:04

GrinGrin Me too.
