juicychops · 15/01/2017 13:10

i recently bought myself the full soundtrack and i absolutely LOVE IT!!!

It is very different to the traditional musicals that i usually obsess over, but there is just something about it and i just can't get the songs out of my head. i am defo going to try and get tickets when they are released

OP posts:
Katymac · 16/01/2017 21:16

DD loves it & I know several of the songs/words

I really like it - but I love spoken word stuff, and I think it's quite similar

Bea · 16/01/2017 23:13

sooo excited... got on straight away and had my tickets by 12:15!!! though i did spend two hours before setting up my FOUR screens and sorting out what dates i wanted... (didn't want to clash with any holidays!!!),,, and making sure i had credit cars/ code / reading glasses/ set up the billing info .... and then followed the madness on twitter!!!!
all done now!!!!!

Dunlurking · 17/01/2017 08:40

I used to check seats out on Theatremonkey Foslady. Don't know if it's any good still.

Thanks for your thoughts on the soundtrack Katymac. Did you manage to get seats OK?

Dunlurking · 17/01/2017 08:48

Bea I did almost exactly the same as you - 3 screens, multiple windows opened, glasses, diary, cards, code and ticket master password, the lot. I was successful getting HP and the Cursed Child tickets this way last year on one of the ticket release dates. Trick for that was logging in on different devices at staggered times as they chucked you off the website before the booking opened after 20 minutes spent logged in, and then you started again in the queue.

Katymac · 17/01/2017 11:56

I didn't do well I kept being chucked off & ended up with very poor tickets but after an hour 15m I was getting desparate

Dunlurking · 17/01/2017 13:14

Sorry to hear that Katymac but glad you did get some tickets in the end. They'll still be better than the ones released on the 30th surely.

Bea · 17/01/2017 20:08

Congratulations to all who got tickets!! Katymac!... I'm sure your seats aren't awful!! You'll be in the room where it happens!!!
Dunlurking!... Ha ha! Dh did think I was slightly mad as in the morning I was gathering laptops and passwords in anticipation!! Grin

Bea · 17/01/2017 20:09

However... If I'd thought about it!... I should have got dh to sign up for priority booking too and then I could have picked two dates to go to! One in Dec /Jan and one in June!! Shock

CaptainMarvelDanvers · 17/01/2017 20:11

I love it, the soundtrack is awesome.

I'm jealous of all of those who get to see it.

Twogoats · 17/01/2017 20:18

Is there anyway of getting tickets now?

Katymac · 17/01/2017 20:20

We only really have Jan/Feb as DD might be in panto before & auditioning after so I panicked- I didn't want to miss my shot

MrsJamin · 17/01/2017 20:26

I didn't have any difficulty getting Saturday night tickets up in the gods, can't wait even though it's over a year away!

Biscuitsneeded · 17/01/2017 20:31

Got some up in the gods in Feb. Couldn't afford to pay more and just happy to be going.

Dunlurking · 18/01/2017 09:20

Twogoats the general booking opens 30th January so anyone who didn't have a priority code can book then - and you can request up to 6 tickets, whereas priority codes only allowed max 4.

Bea you could have another go on the 30th - for Dec/Jan tickets....

Alakazam7 · 18/01/2017 11:02

Equally obsessed here. Been unable to book so far though. I need a wheelchair space and had to just fill in a form and wait for them to contact me! I don't know when this will be and neither do Ticketmaster! There appears to be no one to speak to about it from the venue either. I selected 2 dates in March but this waiting is awful as I don't know if I'll get them. Thought I would have it booked on Monday!

Twogoats · 18/01/2017 11:04

Does the venue have wheelchair access @alkz? Have you checked?

HardcoreLadyType · 18/01/2017 11:11

I easily got 4 tickets in row D for DD in April, as a birthday treat. (Seems weird, as it's not her next birthday, but the one after that.)

There was some talk of LMM joining the cast part way through the run, so that was part of the motivation for not booking the earliest possible tickets.

DD is delighted.

NotThrowAwayMyShot · 18/01/2017 11:23

All theatre's have designated wheelchair access.

Alakazam7 · 18/01/2017 11:45

I assume there is as they have made provision for wheelchair users in booking. It would be cruel to do that and then not provide space! (Plus I think they are legally required to!) it's hard seeing all the messages from those who have already got tickets.

drspouse · 18/01/2017 11:51

I would love to see this but missed priority booking - have put the 30th in my phone to remind me, will be refusing any meeting requests I think too.
I will be requesting the soundtrack for this birthday and probably the associated babysitting/travel for my next one!

Alakazam7 · 25/01/2017 17:37

Still haven't heard about tickets for wheelchair spaces.
Ticketmaster not much help (none at all) and apparently there is no email address or number to phone to speak directly to someone.
They won't even confirm that they have recieved the form I filled in online.
Ticketmaster suggested I ring them again if I haven't heard by Friday but by then it's almost on general sale.

Has anyone managed to secure a wheelchair seat or know someone who has or is this an overall problem for all wheelchair spaces?

Katymac · 25/01/2017 17:41

I emailed them about other stuff & got a reply within 2 days - why not fb or tweet them?

Alakazam7 · 25/01/2017 18:58

Thanks Katymac, tried that too. No response. I think they are swamped with enquiries. I've just tried ringing Delfont Mackintosh themselves but just took my name and said they would have to get back to me. I'll try again on Friday. Thanks anyway. I'll just have to wait for it, wait for it....

Reiltin · 25/01/2017 21:17

Going for my bday next year. Splashes out on £89 tix! 2nd row centre.

I'm in Ireland and U2 tix went on sale
the same morning. Loads of friends didn't get them. When I said I had Hamilton tix, no-one had any idea what I was talking about. Someone said, " Who's that? Is he coming to Dublin?"!!!!! It's like we don't live on the same planet 😂😂😂

theluckiest · 28/01/2017 00:39

I just searched 'Hamilton' and this thread showed up....DH bought me the soundtrack today as I d been listening to it on Spotify.

I don't really like hiphop. I know relatively nothing about US history. Who the hell is Alexander Hamilton anyway?!! And yet I'm completely obsessed already. God it's good. I absolutely love the soundtrack. Not quite sure what's going on and TBH it doesn't really matter..,

It's a bit like when I first heard the Les Mis soundtrack. And that obsession led me to become a professional performer eventually!! Where will this one end? Grin
