phew

zippitippitoes · 05/06/2006 22:59

I think I'm alone in almost preferring what he writes to what he says..but I think the answer to the question is no

zippitippitoes · 05/06/2006 23:00

sorry yes

zippitippitoes · 05/06/2006 23:01

err no the former (wanker)

monkeytrousers · 05/06/2006 23:01

Both - hence inconsistant

monkeytrousers · 05/06/2006 23:02

unreliable

monkeytrousers · 05/06/2006 23:03

..and never does the washing up!

Blu · 05/06/2006 23:03

Well whatever my alledged gynaecological status, it has nothing to do with Will Self, I do assure you! Shock

Uh? What pg anyway??

moondog · 05/06/2006 23:04

Well that writing/speaking thing is intersting.
Julie Burchill comes across as the sort of half wit who would be selling one Lambrusco in Bargain Booze when speaking.

However,in writing....oh hold on,she's shit at that too.

OP posts:
Blu · 05/06/2006 23:05

MD - I think you have mixed me up with someone! [smile}

moondog · 05/06/2006 23:05

Blu,am I confusing you with MonkeyTrousers then lol??
(Seeing as I usually see you both on PD's threads)
One of you is doing a degree......

OP posts:
Blu · 05/06/2006 23:06

yes. MonkeyTrousers.
We often offere similiar pov - but she is more erudite than me.
And more pg by the sounds of it, too!

moondog · 05/06/2006 23:07

Oh Blu!
False modesty methinks. Grin

OP posts:
monkeytrousers · 05/06/2006 23:19

No waaaayyyyy! Grin

I was channeling Burchill on here for a moment though - my F4J 'crippledick' phase

Where is PD anyhow?

monkeytrousers · 05/06/2006 23:20

And I'm not pregnant - just 3 months fat!

booge · 05/06/2006 23:23

both.

CountessDracula · 05/06/2006 23:29

HarpsichordCarrier · 06/06/2006 00:03

WANKER WANKER WANKER
WANKER AS BIG AS A TANKER
BUT he can write Angry

CristinaTheAstonishing · 06/06/2006 00:08

I heard him in a lecture a few years back and he was v good. DH read one of his books (or his only book?) and he was slightly disappointed.

moondog · 06/06/2006 10:38

lol at 'slightly (my italics) disappointed'

OP posts:
LunaMoona · 06/06/2006 10:49

He has ugly feet apparently.

Feistybird · 06/06/2006 10:49

I hate him too - tosser - however, he has brought out the best in Sobernow. v.v.funny

bran · 06/06/2006 11:09

Total wanker, but he does have occasional flashes of insight that would never occur to most people.

As an aside, is anyone else wondering how Moondog knew it was human excrement that she stepped in? [yeuch emoticon] Did you do a forensic examination to see what type of food the poo had originally been MD?

joelalie · 06/06/2006 16:53

Brilliant. I like people with big vocabularies. I'm easily impressed Wink. I like his writing in the Independent even if some of it reads like the ramblings of a very stoned and odd person. But I also quite like stoned and odd people. What does that say about me....hmmm....wander off to consider....

BettySpaghetti · 06/06/2006 17:18

I'm never quite sure what I think of him.

Sometimes hes very funny, other times hes a complete arse and then there are those times (which I think completely confuse me the most!) when he really reminds me of an ex. He both looks and sounds like him so it sort of freaks me out a bit.
