Do you think they started reading the entries at 9am? Quick break to negotiate a six figure book deal, lunch with a celeb, then back to it to pick 6 promising stories by 5pm... I'm just glad I don't need to spend all day hitting refresh, I may now get some work done.

I do hope they won't put up the MNers' usernames alongside the entries. Surely that aspect will have been considered?

It's both frustrating and comforting in equal measure that if we're not shortlisted we'll never know whether we came 7th or 500th

Kerry, often they stop after just a couple of minutes. That's why it's so important to have a really grabby beginning... :/ It's kind of discouraging, I know.

Lexi, I felt like in general there wasn't a lot of helpful info of this kind around... I had to email them a few times for clarifications.
