Hi , myself and 3 DC'S (M) are heading to Dublin in July .

Last time we were there they were alot younger and we stayed at Jurry's Inn , Parnell Street .
(In my head ,,at the top of the long road )

My sense of directions and visualisation of distance is terrible .

Anyhow ,,,,this trip will be different ... alcohol will be legal !

Planning on being more down the Temple Bar area..or near.
Any suggestions ?

One that does have a good deal is the Braseford Hotel (sp ...can't go back to link to check as I will loose this post ..near/on Stoar Street )

So confused about what to book .
Thank you .

BERESFORD HOTEL

That's in the ifsc which is a business zone mainly so I don't think that's what your looking for, try the Morgan or the grafton hotel, not sure price wise, staying very central can be quite expensive

Jota67 · 21/03/2022 13:16

Hard Rock Hotel is great

bizzey · 21/03/2022 13:19

Ohh thank you .
I have got a good deal at the Temple Bar Hotel (not lane) ..just means we all have to share a room .

I will look up the others .
Thanks .

Ahhh now I have got confused by Temple Bar Inn and Temple Bar Hotel !!!

Which would you choose ?
£50 ish PP difference.
They are paying their own .

OP posts:
bizzey · 21/03/2022 13:25

I had my eye on the Hard Rock Cafe !
Just a bit out of price range !

Found another one ..
The Ashling Hotel .
Is that to far away from the "hub" ?

OP posts:
bizzey · 21/03/2022 13:34

2 single beds and a double .

OP posts:
bizzey · 21/03/2022 13:37

Boys and I are on board sharing a room if it saves us money .
(Everyone is paying for themselves....so more beer money for them ! )

The Aisling is a bit far out. There's a newish Jury's near Christchurch that would be good. Dublin's small and walkable and there's pubs everywhere and temple bar is for tourists so most locations are ok.

bizzey · 21/03/2022 14:10

Jury's Inn Christchurch ,looks like it will only do 2 rooms for 4 adults at £1000 + per room..

Will check it again .
But it is not allowing me to put 4 adults in one room .

What about Blooms hotel ?

We are going in June!
I'd love recommendations for really good Italian restaurants please 🙏 that cater fir kids too
(Soecial occasion)

NaomhPadraigin · 21/03/2022 19:17

The Ashling is a bit far out for you.
I've stayed in the quad room here www.fitzwilliamtownhouse.com/dublin-hotel-guesthouse-rooms/7404/quad-room

It's a bit away from temple bar, but close to Grafton Street. A bit old fashioned, but nice clean rooms and it was good value (was about 3 years ago though). It's a guest house rather than hotel, no bar etc...

bizzey · 21/03/2022 21:07

Thank you everyone for your lovely helpful advice x

Think I am going to have to bite the bullet and go for plan A .
Temple Bar Hotel (I think it is called ?)
Though there are 2 there with similar names .

Boys me would like a bar for the evenings .

So you need a quad room or two rooms? What is your total budget?

fifig87 · 22/03/2022 11:35

Good choice on temple bar hotel. Temple bar Inn doesn't have its own bar.

Although I prefer the rooms in the Inn one, the hotels breakfast etc is much nicer! Did you book through hotel or booking.com?

bizzey · 22/03/2022 11:41

Budget is a tricky one !
I was hoping max £1300 for hotel.
Flights are looking like £82 pp.
(Was £78 a few weeks ago !!)

Though obviously we can stretch a bit more if it really was an amazing hotel.

2 rooms would be ideal ,with single beds.
I found a quad room with 2 single beds and a double
DS 1 and 2 can share.

OP posts:
bizzey · 22/03/2022 11:45

I know it might seem weird to some to be all sharing a room! ..
But unless I can get a single room and a triple in our price bracket ...it has to be !

There's another hotel up near Stephens Green called Drury Court Hotel. They have rooms, but also apartments that might suit you. There are great bars all around, without the noise of Temple Bar, but you can walk to Temple Bar in about ten minutes if you like.

bizzey · 22/03/2022 11:57

Ohh thank you .
I will check it out .
