Would you judge people travelling abroad for a holiday?

Just that. My DH really wants to travel abroad for a holiday, probably on the ferry to France. I can’t help but think people would be very disapproving and am nervous telling my boss (I would have to mention it as people would get a foreign ringtone if they tried to ring me during my annual leave).
So…would you judge?

@tazzy73 I hope you have a wonderful time!
I'm high risk and in the hospital a few times a month/sometimes week since this started.
I have admired the getting on with it attitude of the staff so much, especially in lockdowns when life was work/home for months at a time.

Of course not.
They are doing something perfectly legal and hopefully having a lovely time.
I was a bit envious of my friend's sunny (and clearly very warm) holiday pics in Greece recently, as I was packing hoodies and raincoats for our trip to Cornwall.

I'm hoping to be abroad for a holiday in October - if it's allowed.

Can't be doing with judgemental people complaining about others doing things which we are allowed to do, whether it's going for more than one walk a day or visiting a park a drive away in lockdown, visiting an elderly relative when they were isolated from all, going to a pub or a meal out, etc.

Fine if you don't want to do it but let others get in with living their lives their way.

Oh, and I'd still totally understand them being concerned if a rule changed or something went wrong, so long as they had some travel insurance in place to help them. I also empathise with them about costs if tests, etc.

I've never had much patience for anyone travelling abroad without travel insurance.

But just going about their ordinarily lives doing SOMETHING THAT IS LEGAL AND ALLOWED - fine, go for it and have a great time, and I really hope nothing too stressful goes wrong for you.

And great that some people are happy to start travelling again - hopefully it will prevent the travel industry from going under!

Really appreciate the above, nurses are retiring or leaving in their droves. I can't remember the last day we had full staff either on days or nights.

So I will enjoy my little break and I hope you feel better. Take care.

Taz.

Yes, I'd think it was selfish
