What the fuck is the story here? Why on earth did the police not investigate fully? I just don't understand. That poor child and his mother, I can't imagine how she is coping. To lose your child is tragic, and then to see the world acting as if obvious untruths about his death are facts must be just torture.

Just bumping this for the Irish posters who wouldn't see a thread in petitions that's fallen out of active. This is a slack effort by the police.

Unfortunately MNHQ moved my thread from AIBU to Petitions and Activism. It doesn't sit comfortably there. It's about much more than a link to a petition. I'm not an activist, I'm just a regular mumsnetter and mum, as they know, moved by what happened to Noah and what is happening to Fiona. I have been appealing to them to move it back but so far without success. I believe it belongs on the main board as it is about posters, mainly mothers, standing alongside another mother and her son. What if this was my son, your son, our little brother, nephew, cousin, grandson, godson, DS's friend, a neighbour? I don't think you can get more 'in the spirit of Mumsnet' than that. It is much harder to keep it in Active on a backwater board but I am trying to bump it whenever I get the chance - and other posters have kindly been helping me - or rather, helping Noah and Fiona. If you can help by bumping that thread and politely appealing to MNHQ too, that would be fantastic:

I completely agree. All of my threads in the early days were removed entirely.
