Cost of living payment

So I've heard ppl on UC will get cost of living payment and some places say it's due he's of jan but some ppl say feb.

Anyone know for sure?

It may just be too early its from the 6th onwards.

Recieved mine on the 31st October (first day) last time, nothing yet.

I'm in the tax credits to UC transitional period. Worrying I will miss this payment now.

I was in that for the first ever col, I got the payment the following year. So you may have to wait.

@megletthesecond you'll still get it. I'm still on tax credits. Not entitled to UC( just waiting till tc ends). We will still get the payment just probably more like 22nd Feb.

I was really hoping mine would go in today because I desperately need it. But it hasn't. Usually I get it on the first day it's due.

I got mine this morning, nice surprise.

I got my payment this morning, I never received a text so was panicking!

every other time I have had a text but received the payment about 4 days after the start date.

@sanityisamyth no a couple day after the first date last time round.

I've had my first day every previous payment but not this time lol! Suppose it is a waiting game I can see pending payments for my bank but there's nothing for it xx

It all seems really random. Had to visit a food bank for the first time today. At least I'll be okay for another week.

It really is, my friends who will receive it also none of them have had it. I can see payments 48 hours in advance to my account and can't see anything. My UC is due Friday so I'll see it tomorrow and be able to get paid 4pm Thursday. It's a great help these COLP. Xx

The same... I can't even access the food bank, literally spent half of the night checking my bank account online.
Does anyone know what's the longest it could take to receive it while on UC? I know it says until 22nd, but do they really paying that long? Most of people I know received last COLP in first three days...

I’ve put a note in my UC journal asking this exact question. If I get a (useful) response I’ll let you know.

I'm pretty sure they'll say anytime until 22nd... It must be something different this time, like I mentioned before, I have 6 friends on UC, it's really strange no one received it on first day...

I received a text and mine has been paid today.

@40weeksmummy I think they try get payments out before they process the tax credit ones. I'm hoping I get mine I'm going to save it for the last week before payday. I get my UC top up this week so once I fuel my car up, and do a shop should be okay. DD is off school next week and I'm off work so fuel will be minimum and will save money on packed lunches and snacks. Hope everyone gets theirs soon xxx

I got mine today. I was surprised as last time it was in the middle of the payment dates.

@40weeksmummy If you are on UC it’s worth asking via your journal. They checked for me and have said they can see I’m receiving it tomorrow. Unexpectedly helpful.

Wow, thank you, never heard about it, didn't know they are able to check the date. Left message in my journal too, but they usually responding in week or two, so probably (and hopefully) I'll receive payment first :)))
