Hello,
This is the Enhanced Review Team contacting you about your claim to Universal Credit. We believe you are not entitled to receive Universal Credit because we have doubts about the legitimacy of your claim. Accordingly, we have suspended payment of your Universal Credit. To resolve this doubt on your claim to Universal Credit please contact 0800 328 5644 and ask to speak to the Enhanced Review Team. If we do not hear from you by 24/11/2023, your claim will be closed.

has anyone had this and know how long it takes or what it’s about? Had today and I’m concerned how I’m going to pay rent/feed children

HI

 Got the same message been looking through google was worrying as before i saw this came across only 3.1% of suspensions reinstated. Thats a low number and claimants had provided all info and still sutpended atter 11 months after MP intervention. But now  I have saw this thread I am less worried an think it will be sorted out in a couple of days. The way it is worded is wrong cause you google the message and get All sort of stuff that is not good to read, took awhile to find this thread

The annoying thing for us is we both have to have the phone call and when ever I have tried to upload my documents I've only been able to upload some as the system will only let you do so many. Now I have to wait until UC add more uploads on my to do list which seems to take an age.

i sent in all documents wednesday, was told there ok thursday and that my phone interview would be in about a week or so. very stressed i won’t get paid now, although i’ve not had anything about my payments being suspended

Hello, I have received the same message on my journal :( my anxiety and panic are through the roof, I feel sick and can't breathe I have my phone call on Tuesday, please can you tell me what it was like and what they asked for , what they need sending? I can't go out at the moment as I'm sick and Im so worried, what I have to print and send etc and was everything ok or where they intimidating? Thanks 🙏 I would really appreciate it if you could tell me what they ask and need so I'm kind of ready 😭😭

Hello, I have received a message in my UC journal and I'm out of mind, I suffer badly with anxiety panic and mental health and I'm in a mess, can anyone else who has had this message help and tell me what is is for, what they needed, where they nice , what documents do I need to send etc etc..

It also says my uC could be cancelled? My claim was before pandemic but took nearly a year and was awarded lcrwa 12/12/2019 so they have all my passport details etc BEFORE pandemic ..can anyone help 🙏

For those that didnt have their payments stopped yes maybe as you say but I had mine stopped and God knows how many months they need to investigate or do whatever they want , so we are worried how we are going to survive , some people waiting for months , even 11 months :(

Please try not to worry, I really panicked for 2 days straight and it wasn’t all that bad. I had my phone call 2 days after the message was put on my journal, the guy was really nice asked me some stupid questions then asked me to submit some docs:
passport
tenancy agreement
sons birth cert
photo of me at my front door
photo of me holding passport
few other random bits

payments was took out of suspense the following day.

im not saying everyone’s experience is the same but for me it wasn’t all that bad

I didn't have enough uploads for all my documents so I'm currently having to wait to be allocated more. All the time, the days are ticking by. My missus hasn't even have the phone call after the two day period. U.C. couldnt organise the proverbial p-up in a brewery. They couldn't care less how people feel about having their money stopped.

Go to the job centre then and ask them to scan your documents for you or call the UC phone line and ask them to create a Doc upload To Do so you can get them on. And yes many of them do care, half of them are on UC themselves.

Already done that but I've been told that the only ones who can create upload to do list are the Enhanced Review Team and you have to wait for them to call you as you can't call them directly

Leave a message in your uc journal. It took them a couple of days but the lady did add some more upload links for me. A few days later my payment was unsuspended and it is all sorted now. Was stressful nut everything will be OK

i’ve waited two weeks and still no interview just keep getting told in due course has anyone else had this i’m getting really stressed.

We have uploaded all our documents and had our calls but still waiting for our payments to start again. They need to understand how stressful this is for people. I used to work for disability benefits and the amount of time wasting that goes on is incredible.

mine isn’t enhanced review team it’s “universal credit claim review team” and they’ve not said anything about stopping my payment just that my claim is being reviewed to make sure i receive the right payment but i’m still stressed thinking what if they don’t pay as it’s been nearly three weeks this has been going on

Please don’t worry my husband used to do these checks. Just provide the info they ask for. If you don’t have it - be honest and they will want to help you. Believe me they don’t want your claim closed - too much paperwork if that happens!

@CornishTiger ive sent them everything they asked for but they said i need a phone call (everyone seems to have them) but they still haven’t booked it 3 weeks in. are they normally overwhelmed with work? or did i just get bad luck with the wait

@unicornwonders As your payment hasn’t been suspended I’d give them longer to be honest. However I’d also stick a note in the journal just to ask then if they have everything they need to review your claim. That will show you are engaging in the process.

@CornishTiger ive been chasing them once a week in journal saying “is there anything else i need to provide, i’m free for the phone call anytime etc” but they just say in due course, they would have to tell me if they suspended payments right? sorry i’m a young mum who’s very stressed out as there’s no time frame on this apparently

After three weeks, my payments have now restarted. People shouldn't have to go through this amount of stress. I understand that the Government are trying to crack down on fraudulent claims but the process should be better.
