Just that really. Trying to cut back on expenditure and wondered what people have? We pay for Netflix and Disney plus separately and have Amazon prime.

We have Amazon prime anyway for deliveries so that's 'free'.
Then we have either Netflix or BritBox - rarely both at once, catch up on series we want to see and swap.

Freeview/iPlayer for current broadcast stuff.

And if we want something a bit more solid we have Wondrium at the moment which has Great Courses and National Geographic content

Those of you watching Now tv ... we've got a fire stick so could we watch on that or must we have their box?

Watch on that. I have the app on my phone and just cast it to my chrome cast

Sweetsweetlike1 · 29/06/2023 09:25

Cupcakequeen75 · 29/06/2023 09:26

Virgin £33 a month
Amazon Prime £79 a year

No TV License - we don’t watch live tv. anything major you get clips online anyway.

We enable Netflix for a month or two now and again.

We get AppleTv+ when someone buys something apple, for about 3 months.

Primarily watch free YouTube, although the adverts are doing my head in a bit lately, so may have to move over to their premium service.

Had all the channels at one point, but got sick of Biased BC, Sky became silly priced, and Disney content was poor.

we do like Paramount+, so we sign up for the free 7 days and binge, when we know we are at home to chill and catch up. If it had more content we’d probably sign up for that more often.

CaramelicedLatte · 29/06/2023 09:38

Virgin. Our whole bundle, which includes Gig broadband, all the channels and our Netflix subscription costs us £55 a month. Bargain tbh!

We don't pay for other streaming services separately, but we do have Disney + and Amazon Prime. Prime we have because we pay for the delivery service, the streaming is a bonus. We pay yearly. Disney + we currently have free from my son's O2 SIM (no phone payment), but we also save up clubcard points to redeem and get it free.

You should just be able to log in from the app on the fire stick

gldd · 29/06/2023 09:43

Books, and some Youtube. Costs little to nothing

areyouhavinglaugh · 29/06/2023 10:20

I bought a smart tv with freesat and freeview ports

You just put the sky cables straight into the tv.. no need for a box

Or an Ariel straight into the tv

IPTV

Its a subscription app, I think it’s about £60 a year, and it accesses pretty much everything Europewide. It’s pretty decent-we binned sky years ago!

Seems cheap for what it is! Is just watching live tv or catch up as well?

It is cheap isn’t it!

I’ll admit to this being dh’s department…I’m not actually sure if you can do catchup, but I’m thinking you probably can, you seem to be able to get whatever you like on it! A couple of weeks ago we decided we decided we wanted to watch the original Top Gun before we watched Maverick…did a search and found it-it’s a bit mind boggling if I’m honest!

GatesOfBabylon · 30/06/2023 10:35

AppleTv if you like high quality programmes.

strawberrywhisk · 30/06/2023 10:42

Amazon fire stick, Netflix, Nowtv, Itvx and Disney

Henry176 · 30/06/2023 10:43

We got rid of Sky as it was costing far too much. We replaced it with a Freesat box, that uses the sky dish but carries free content. (plenty of good stuff on there). Having said that I missed the Discovery channels, so for £4 a month we can have all of those on our other device for TV viewing which is a fire stick. If you have a prime account there is shedloads of stuff included with Prime.

Quisquam · 30/06/2023 11:00

Tv licence and Freeview. Our tv has its own brand additional channels, but we never watch those! I mainly watch BBC1, Michael Portillo’s train journeys; and some of my favourite mainstream repeats on channels like Drama. I don’t want Sky or anything like that, as its just DH watching wall to wall sports. He’s told Sky and Virgin where to go, so he’s in no hurry to get them again himself!

tellmewhentheLangshiplandscoz · 30/06/2023 11:23
