Wotsits - they are now half Wotsit in my view.

Soreen malt loaf - picked up one in Tescos for £1, put it next to the ones I already had from Lidl in the freezer - nearly half the size.

I know I’m late to the party but any others leaping out at people?

Scones in Asda used to be 8 in a pack but are now 6, same price and online they've got a "new" logo on them as if they're something special....

Gingerbeerfear · 30/06/2022 17:48

Definitely agree with you, one big bottle would last me months but I keep having to add extra squeezes while washing up to get the desired sud. I’m half way down a bottle after a month which would have usually lasted 3 months

Mcvities Ginger and golden syrup cakes, they're like fun size now and still say they serve 9 on the packet.

BrownHairedQuirk · 30/06/2022 17:53

I was thinking about wotsits the other day! They are TINY. I thought I was imagining it

midsomermurderess · 30/06/2022 17:56

‘Skimpflation’ seems to be the term for this.

Georgyporky · 30/06/2022 18:01

I've mentioned this before, but a packet of 8 rashers is now 6 - spread out so it looks the same. The "6" is there, but the print & background is very dark.

A packet of cheese that was 1856g is again the same size, but is now 170g.

CafeCremeMerci · 30/06/2022 18:02

fruit & veg - smaller for the same price. Or old size & more expensive.

it's the bulk of my shopping so I really notice!!

You can get large Wotsits now but they are oversized to be honest .

My Son one evening, instead of a normal bag of Wotsits got Me this big bag of the large ones but it was £2 per big bag rather than £1 for the regular ones

IpanemaBelle · 30/06/2022 18:10

Waitrose treacle tart. First the treacle filling was noticeably thinner, now they’ve completely disappeared 😕

RudsyFarmer · 30/06/2022 18:11

Pringles. I made the mistake of buying one old pack and one new pack at the same time (without realising). Was so shocked when I got them out the back and onto the work surface I’ve vowed to never buy them again.

Isaidnoalready · 30/06/2022 18:12

Gluten free biscuits are now 7 in a packet instead of 8 I questioned why I was told because of the war in the Ukraine there is a wheat shortage I just kinda stared and pointed to the wheat free sign 😳 I mean if you don't know say so 🤣

The price has gone up too

Gingerbeerfear · 30/06/2022 18:13

Nope you are not imagining it. I only buy them rarely but that probably highlighted the difference! Shrivelled little things and not enough cheesy powder (DS)

Tesco shortbread biscuits from the bakery. There are still 20 in the tub but they've lost a third of their thickness.

dutysuite · 30/06/2022 18:14

The bags of ready washed salad seem to have shrunk
digestives feel thinner
lemonade ice lollies
toilet roll

stringbean · 30/06/2022 18:22

Not food, but loo rolls have got smaller. Usually buy the Tesco ones and had left a pack with some in our caravan from last year. Comparing with those bought recently they are now noticeably smaller! Toothpaste also same price but tubes are smaller. Thought I was imagining it. Is this grocery gaslighting Grin ??

tootiredtobother · 30/06/2022 18:22

small to medium sized (in my opinion) cauliflower in Morrisons, was ticketed as large, 99p flippin heck

theemmadilemma · 30/06/2022 18:24

Itsu Gyoza. Now get more in a pack, but less total weight...

Gingerbeerfear · 30/06/2022 18:30

My quote and reply button clearly isn’t working- but yes with the loo rolls - huge difference

pastapestoparmesan · 30/06/2022 18:32

Magnums. They’re freaking tiny these days. Also a bar of green and blacks is suddenly 90g instead of 100. Bet it costs more though.

Glitterypinkmoomin · 30/06/2022 18:33

@ShahRukhKhan
Yes to wispas. They're practically bite size now.

RicherThanYew · 30/06/2022 18:34

Snickers bars, share size bag of Wotsits, ASDA extra special red velvet cake, first they changed the frosting and then they made it smaller 🤬, Walls ice lollies, Creme eggs, Twirls, glass bottles of Coke.

Yeah I know food 😆

SheSaysShush · 30/06/2022 18:35

TwoBigNoisyBoys · 30/06/2022 17:09

Not quite the same, but Fairy Liquid seems much more watery than it used to be, so I find myself using much more?

I half every single bottle I buy and top up with water. Still get super suds.

SarahShorty · 30/06/2022 18:35

Shrinkflation.

Whatthebarnacles · 30/06/2022 18:37

The £1 share bags of sweets, like revels, maltesers etc. (I say £1... lucky to find them at that price anymore for a start.

I had some m&ms the other week, tipped into a bowl and thought what the heck? DH had a normal sized bag and he tipped his into a bowl. Honestly, there must have been about 5 more in mine compared to his.

Share bag? My arse!

What's more annoying is all the extra plastic for them too. What's with opening a whopper of a bag to find an inch worth of product at the bottom?

iwantmyownicecreamvan · 30/06/2022 18:37

I've noticed the loo rolls too.
Spam fritters - half the size, but I'm not sure when that happened as I hadn't seen them for ages and then I saw some in Iceland.
