HumbugWhale · 02/09/2021 22:18

I don't think I want to click on this link!

Nsd. First day back at school. It was ok although no kids yet!

I missed my own dcs after spending the holidays with them. They rushed to greet me when I got home with lots of big cuddles. So cute!

Sheesh today has been unintentionally spendy
£264 glasses as I now need varifocal
£500 washer as mine decided it would throw out acrid smoke
£149 new vaccum as it sympathised with the washer when asked to clean up the space for the new one
£75 deposit kennels for doggo
May as well round off with takeout as can’t use sink while washer disconnected

Wolfcub · 03/09/2021 17:06

Bloody hell Life I think you need the takeaway after all that

£29 hoody for ds
£9 bits from butcher for lunch for 4
£45 haircut
£19 dog puzzle

Going to sit on my hands and try not to spend anything else. House remains a shit heap and I've just discovered ds doesn't actually go back to
School until next Thursday ffs

lifelongfrugaleer · 03/09/2021 17:43

£30 takeaways and £3 MOB cook book

lifelongfrugaleer · 03/09/2021 17:48

Needless to say savings have been taken out.
House survey showed some disappointing annoyances but we will be able to sort them fairly easily

Lovemaltesers · 03/09/2021 18:44

Ouch life

Extra spends here too:
£3.25 on a breakfast club session for DD2 as might need it (have to book at least 7 days in advance)
£25 on trainers for DD1- only just got confirmation that PE kit is staying at school so she needs another pair
£43 Ocado as may be working on my day off next week so this was a making life easier order
£42.50 on a bargain pair of black Ugg boots, but look more boot like than Uggs. Previous similar pair was great, and I think someone here made me a convert after posting that previous deal. Toasty warm feet make me happy Smile

HumbugWhale · 03/09/2021 19:51

Ouch indeed Life!

Nsd. Being back at work is definitely better for the bank balance!

Happierwithouthim · 03/09/2021 20:34

Wow life that's an expensive day Shock

Alfiemoon1 · 03/09/2021 20:45

Spends today £35 on the dogs grooming £87 4 new tyres for dds car greatly reduced due to my staff discount probably the only perk of my job which has been made busy all week £40 on a candle set for ds for Christmas and a few other candles for Christmas presents £6 on a headlight bulb for my car and £12 on McDonald’s

Need to get ds bus pass sorted tomorrow and buy him a new school bag tomorrow but thankfully no school uniform or shoes to buy now he’s starting college

HumbugWhale · 04/09/2021 07:25

I've already spent 30 quid and I'm not out of bed yet! Suddenly remembered a birthday so did a Moonpig order - card and flowers. Rest of today should be low spend though. We need about 3 things from the shop e.g. milk and that should be it.

ememem84 · 04/09/2021 07:28

Hawaiian chicken in the slow cooker. The dc are up and about. Ds thinks pineapple with chicken is funny.

Dishwasher on. Laundry folded. Dc breakfasted. Watching bing.

£16 yesterday on picnic lunch with dparents and dc.

Riding today. £40.

lifelongfrugaleer · 04/09/2021 07:55

Waiting for various deliveries today. Top up shop needed

Wolfcub · 04/09/2021 08:41

Paprika chicken in the slow cooker. Kitchen and downstairs surfaces cleaned and cleaning cloths all in the wash. Need to do floors later. Going on a two hour course this morning (something fun) so needs to take muttley to dparents shortly

Taytocrisps · 04/09/2021 08:56

Morning everyone.

I've just done my budget for the month. I'm doing ok but I'm aiming to have a quiet, low spend month.

Had to bring DCat1 to the vet yesterday because he's had diarrhea and nausea for the past few days. So that was an unplanned spend of €83.70. And I had to take an unplanned half-day when I'm only back to work after my holidays. But I was afraid to leave him any longer. Luckily my boss is an animal lover so was sympathetic. Hopefully the injection they gave him will do the trick. I also need to buy a carpet cleaning product......

DD's first week back at school went ok. I have to buy her another school book though - why can't they just put everything on the book list? I also have to buy her a second P.E. top because she has P.E. on consecutive days and I don't want to be stressing out trying to get her P.E. top washed and dried in time for the following morning.

No other news really. I'm just planning a weekend of housework and TV. Have a good weekend everyone.
