I would rather have functional internet after last week's trauma.

lifelongfrugaleer · 05/04/2021 19:46

Hiya, really busy day doing a huge spring clean. Kids are now I’m bed and I’m going to join them soon!

I’m sorry your FIL isn’t very nice em, I hope he apologises.

It is mrs I definitely prefer it to living in a house😊. Glad you had a nice time with your BFF.

unescorted my grandad loves bird watching, he’d be impressed with your list!

£13 in laundrette

Mrsmadevans · 05/04/2021 21:58

Em they sound very toxic , l wonder what life your DH had with him tbh. It doesn't sound as if he would have been treated very well 😰 horrible ppl .

ships that won’t happen. But oh well. We move on.

I’m back on the self care train today. Had an epsom salt bath earlier. And have slathered “this works - body cocoon” lavender moisturiser all over myself. In an attempt to help me sleep.

I’ve been reading about magnesium supplements so want to check in with my gp re whether these can work with my meds. I think they should be ok but want to make sure.

Have read some book too. Almost finished the testaments by Margaret Atwood.

Now just waiting for catface to come up to snuggle on bed with me.

Mrsmadevans · 05/04/2021 22:34

Em have a good night sleep lovely 💐

northender · 05/04/2021 22:48

I'm with you life, pigeons, starlings, corvids & sparrows here. Imagine the excitement when we (maybe once a year) catch sight of a pair of goldfinches!!

ememem84 · 06/04/2021 01:39

How are yous guys going to cope at Christmas?!

Swans, geese, calling birds, hens, partridges....

Up with dd. Sigh.

SnugglySnerd · 06/04/2021 06:24

The magpies in our garden are funny - they can't cling onto the suet feeder as they are too big but they want suet so they balance on a low branch and lean across to bash the feeder until bits of suet fall out then they jump down and get them off the ground. So clever!

ememem84 · 06/04/2021 07:02

I love a magpie. We have one that lives near our garden and teases catface. She’s desperate to get it.

ememem84 · 06/04/2021 08:31

£2.80 coffee. It is chilly today.

SnugglySnerd · 06/04/2021 11:44

Our cat is a bit nervous of magpies, I think he finds them a bit noisy.

ememem84 · 06/04/2021 12:40

Catface isn’t stealthy enough to get birds. Lockdown weight innit.... she tries though.

She leapt at said magpie from inside the other day. French doors were closed. Magpie had a good laugh as she bumped the glass....

lifelongfrugaleer · 06/04/2021 16:56

£00 returned a parcel for £20 refund. Stuff off to chazza. Walk with a pal, no other unscheduled spends whoop

Ddad not doing too well as not really eating or drinking Sad

lifelongfrugaleer · 06/04/2021 17:43

Oh dear love. Do the care staff know why or is he fading? Flowers

Unescorted · 06/04/2021 17:45

Love [Flowers]. It is hard. I have no sensible words, but I want you to know that we are here for you.

It has been snowing on and off here all day. thankfully it hasn't settled.

Today's bird was a heron. We get them quite often so I sounded less than enthusiastic when the lady leered in my face to tell me it was on the river. Yes dear this year and every other year.... I was in a grumpy mood.

Wolfcub · 06/04/2021 18:08

Ah Love that is really hard, as Unescorted says we are here for you

Love oh dear l am so sorry to hear this lovely , its heart breaking for you all Flowers

Mrsmadevans · 06/04/2021 18:29

Up to Mum & Bob this morning , they needed fuel. They have oil central heating but they like a fire in the front room for the cold, Mum has arthritis and fibro and she feels the cold dreadfully .l asked Dh to check the fuel stocks Sunday and he listened to Bob, who said they had plenty . They had nothing left today, which has happened before, Hmm hence the searching . We managed to find some coal , kindling and blocks and fire lighters in the end but it took us over 2 hours to find some Hmm
I wrongly blamed my DH for not realising they needed more fuel ,we were not at all happy with each other but got over it in the end. We were so late coming from their house today though.
The weather has been nuts today, snowing, hail, rain & sunny blue skies! NSD today and about time too !

lifelongfrugaleer · 06/04/2021 18:38

Indeed love anything we can do x

Lovemaltesers · 06/04/2021 18:57

Dmum now come back from visiting dad saying the consultant on the phone earlier must be wrong as Ddad was eating lunch when she got there and the nurses said he was the same as usual for him Hmm. He’s definitely on a downward trend though. I think we’ll be having lots of ups and downs

Lovemaltesers · 06/04/2021 19:00

I can imagine you and DH having a little fall out mrs. So very frustrating all round!

Lovemaltesers · 06/04/2021 19:46

Ddads pacemaker also is no longer working, but another operation is not really in his best interests
