Happierwithouthim · 30/11/2019 18:28

I possibly have straps somewhere snuggly I'm pretty sure there's loops on it for them anyhow. Just message me your address & I'll send it on to you
They're 100% the best strapless bra there is, why did I through out my bigger one though when I lost weight before ds Angry

Shower wasn't very hot, need to investigate why later, enchiladas sound lovely I've not eaten since 11, but they'll take too long think I'll do a wrap pizza instead it'll be speedy!

SnugglySnerd · 30/11/2019 20:11

Thank you Happier. A decent strapless bra will give me a lot more Christmas party dress options! Don't worry if you can't find the straps. Just about to PM you.

SnugglySnerd · 30/11/2019 20:14

Sorry it's sent it twice for some reason!

Happy 1 December
LSD planned today

Wolfcub · 01/12/2019 08:43

Party last night, very little sleep and a thick head this morning.

Today is tree day so there will be a takeaway later I discovered last year that doing the tree is knackering! Also need to iron some stuff so we have clothes and pack for work tomorrow

Meal plan for week - I got a whole duck for £5 at Sainsbury’s reduced from £13 so it’s a bit more extravagant looking than usual 😁

Prawn and veggie stir fry
Roasted duck with roast beetroot, parsnips, carrots and wilted chard
Roasted fennel pasta with rocket
Duck Chinese style pancakes with cucumber and spring opinion
Veggie burgers, sweet potato wedges and salad

We are off to Lidl in a moment. I got the look fantastic advent calendar as a gift from my DM and the first day was a beautiful eyeshadow palette of neutral shades, am delighted.

Wow, 1st of December, how did that happen?!

I've had a pretty low spend week, I didn't need to buy loads of shopping this week either because I had enough meat and leftovers in the freezer plus lots of tins.
I only needed fresh stuff, so food shopping was £22.
McDonald's for dd2 Friday treat, and something for me £4.87.
I did get ds2 his Christmas present, but this was budgeted for, an xbox s one, should have been £200, got it for £130, so very pleased with that.

Have been trying to sort the house out, ready for Christmas, slow but steady progress, what it to be done properly, not just 'I will leave this box here to sort later'!
Said box will never get sorted.
Hope you all have a great Sunday.

Wolfcub · 01/12/2019 09:51

I have brought the Xmas decs down from upstairs, just need to wrestle the bastard tree out of the cellar now. I cleaned and made space for it yesterday

Cuppa first Grin

That's a great bargain on the duck

Morning,

Hope the thick head was worth it wolf. You missed the voting fiasco for SCD which resulted in me accusing my children who would never do such an under hand thing give a shit anyway of stealing my votes. Not my proudest moment.

I have my Gantt chart ready for Christmas - you can take the girl out of project management but not the PM out of the girl. I may have started a trend at work. I could get an app made with little tinsel embellishments….

Plan Lidl have £7 ducks ( everyday price) in the frozen section, when Sainsbos don't have well priced ones.

lifelongfrugaleer · 01/12/2019 10:35

I saw that on the telly thread. Did the votes work in the end.
Our decs are next weekend. Might start wrapping though.

Show is your chart unescorted

lifelongfrugaleer · 01/12/2019 10:36

Show us your chart. Bastardy phone. Live a Gantt chart

lifelongfrugaleer · 01/12/2019 10:36

Ffs love

Plancina · 01/12/2019 10:41

What is a Gantt chart? I love a bit of planning/organising 😁
unescorted thanks for the Lidl tip! Will def check it out.
DP making home made curried parsnip soup for lunch... it smells amazing!

WreckTangled · 01/12/2019 11:42

We're on our way to London to see the lights. £25 train for the four of us and we've just had an early packed lunch on the train

Girliefriendlikespuppies · 01/12/2019 12:07

I was out at the works do last night as well, it was a really nice meal and OMG I ate SO much Blush felt a bit ill come bedtime!!

Cost £26 and I def had my moneys worth 😁
Currently sat in one of the paint your own pottery places watching dd paint a bowl for her nans Christmas present. That will be a tenner, she's not feeling great, headachy so hoping she's not coming down with something...

Will go on into town and do a bit more Christmas shopping from here.

Girliefriendlikespuppies · 01/12/2019 12:08

Missed SCD, can't wait to catch up with it later!!

Unescorted · 01/12/2019 13:06

A Gantt chart is a glorified spreadsheet combined with bar charts that links all the activities in a project so you can work out what the critical path is.... in this case get the Turkey out of the fridge so it comes up to room temperature before the oven goes on and the turkey gets cooked so it comes out of the oven in time to rest for an hour before it needs carving and serving. It also highlights the places where things are happening without direct input so you can use that time to do the stand alones… eg making the glaze or peeling the sprouts. I now know I have to part cook the spuds & freeze so I have enough cooker / saucepan space to get all the other bits done. Once things are sequenced if you change a time all the others change automatically.... turkey bigger than you planned just increase it's cooking & defrosting time and it re calculates. MS Excel on office 365 has a template that works quite well.

girlie my most favourite pasta / fruit bowl is one my DD did for me when she was 6. She did 2 but one got broken. I will let galleries use it as an example of her early work when they are doing retrospectives. Along with the little glazed rainbow bird and the photo of her bro climbing up a frame.

Unescorted · 01/12/2019 13:07

I have just read that back..... I am very geeky and taking this far too seriously.

lifelongfrugaleer · 01/12/2019 13:55

I love that you are a fellow geek

Plancina · 01/12/2019 14:10

unescorted I feel this could be life changing if I could get my head around it but even reading your post made me feel a little dumb Grin
Walking with DP now to get my 15k steps as per Team RH instructions. Got 26k yesterday which made up a bit for shortfall on busy teaching days when I get more like 7-8k. Need to work out how to get more in on those days.

Wolfcub · 01/12/2019 14:11

The tree is up. I am very Angry at myself though. I stood on the arm of the armchair to put a decoration up and have broken the armchair. Not frugal.

Unescorted · 01/12/2019 16:12

We are not having decorations here - just for the day at M&D's for the day.

lifelongfrugaleer · 01/12/2019 18:16

ememem84 · 01/12/2019 19:44

My day was spendy. £113 on Sunday lunch for dparents dsis dh ds and I. Dd had milky. Dsis bought the wine.

Lovely lunch though. Nice and casual.

Came home and got both kiddos changed into pjs. Attempted to watch happyfeet with ds. Made popcorn (ds thought the popcorn machine was hilarious). Had hot chocolate.

Dh is off work for the next week. Hoorah
