Nsd.
Sorry Cag I was ina rush earlier. Don't blame you for hiding and crying. You really do have a lot on your plate at the moment. I hope you can appeal and get somewhere second time around.

happytobemrsg · 22/05/2019 20:43

£1.80 on a sandwich & £4.60 on dinner.

em I’ve never bought fancy gym clothes - maybe because I only work out at home? Do you only wear them working out? My mum & sis are joining the local David Lloyd this summer & while I’d love to join them I’m not sure how it would work with a newborn. I’d only use it for the pool, cafe & the company to be honest (got a lovely home gym).

That’s so awful cag Flowers sounds like you’re doing your very best for him so be kind to yourself Brew

I had a good morning but a shit afternoon. Stupid office bitchiness politics. New boss has been talking about me behind my back & I’m stupidly hurt by it. I was hoping to come back after maternity leave (it’s good money, I enjoy the work & tbh I’m pretty good at it), but it seems like she doesn’t want me. Now I feel lost. I suffered terribly with PND last time & DH saying I could return part time made me feel much more hopeful this time. Feeling incredibly deflated tonight.

lifelongfrugaleer · 22/05/2019 20:57

Cheeky bitch isn't she Mrs g. Don't let her stop you going back that what you want. Could you move to another dept. Might she still be there in a year. Can you evidence what's been said or is all verbal?

happytobemrsg · 22/05/2019 21:12

She was slagging me off to the new girl (saying a senior member had told her I’m crap at my job). Firstly, I have spoken to said senior member & he’s as flummoxed as I am (I trust him implicitly). Secondly, if she thought I was bad at my job why slag me off to the new girl? I get on great with the rest of the team so maybe she was trying to draw the new girl away from me? My boss is relatively new & so I can understand her wanting to build a new team around her but why be so nasty? Urgh I just hate mean girls.

I’m a contractor but this has been my main role. They have no obligation to take me back & it’ll basically be at her say so.

ememem84 · 22/05/2019 21:38

mrsg I haven’t bought them yet (bought gym shark for my sisters birthday gift) but might treat myself post baby. I would only wear them for working out. I’m planning on 3 times a week. So they’d get the wear. (Or maybe I’ll wait till my first payday back at work seeing as I have around 5 pairs of gym pants anyway...)

Picked Ds up from nursery and instead of heading straight to the carpark and waiting for dh we headed out to the grassy area outside nursery. We ate a snack (satsuma) and ran about a bit and ds picked some flowers (daisies). Met dh and then headed home. Nice to be outside for a bit.

Bath. Bottle and the Simpson’s then bed.

Dh made veg pad Thai. And is now watching gardeners world on iplayer.

I’m utterly exhausted. Lying on bed still dressed. Must muster up energy to get jammies on.

cag like life said you will get through this. He’s your boy. You’ll get it. I know you will xx make sure to breathe and do it one step at a time.

Nsd today.

lifelongfrugaleer · 23/05/2019 06:37

Forgot you are a contractor Soz. There really is no need to be nasty.

LSD planned today.

Hope you got some sleep cag and are ready to start kicking some DLA butt

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 23/05/2019 07:04

Morning all.
Not read back a lot, but cag, you've got this Flowersxx.
Oh mrsg, that is not cool, take care of you xx.
Welcome to newbies.
Has been a spendy week, youngest two needed new trainers and some clothes.

Ex has been mostly ok, which is good.

I went for a scan yesterday, as I am having periods every two weeks and in quite a bit of pain. I have a 6cm cyst on my left ovary.
I had one removed 6 years ago, and the symptoms were similar this time, but I was just hoping I was wrong.
It's just a bit shit really, my single life wasn't meant to start like this!

Hope you all have a good Thursday.

WeAreTheWeirdosMister · 23/05/2019 07:26

Hi joining as just moved to part time and struggling a bit Confused
Having to spend £20 today as we give £5 in for birthday funds and there are 4 birthdays coming up...eek, that's most of my backup fund gone.

Cagliostro · 23/05/2019 07:42

Thank you all so much Thanks got a long list of phone calls and emails to make today 😬 both of which make me nervous but needs must! First though I’m off to a coffee morning with the local autism charity, they’re a lovely bunch. Also, cake.

Mrsg it’s not stupid to be hurt by this. She sounds like a spiteful jealous cowbag. Of course it is upsetting to be bitched about! :( I don’t understand bitchy people at all, why can’t people just be NICE it costs nothing FFS. Angry

Nobody else is up yet so I’m going to make another Macbeth worksheet for the kids to do next week. Quite proud of this project so far (home ed is about the only thing going right at the moment! ) and should be able to sell the resources I’m making on various websites after for a few quid here and there.

happytobemrsg · 23/05/2019 08:06

Thanks everyone. I feel a little better this morning. I’ve decided to try not to worry about what’s going to happen in 16 months time & just see what happens. I woke up to a message from the CEO this morning which cheered me up too. There are a lot of problems in our department (I’ve told you before how negative it is there) & the junior members are really worried about me leaving. I’ll just do my best for them while I’m still there.

That’s really shit curvy. Will they need to operate again?

Not at work today. DS is under a consultant for his febrile convulsions so we are off to hospital for an appointment this morning. Hoping today will be a NSD (they have been few & far between this month)

happytobemrsg · 23/05/2019 08:07

Are you a teacher cag? Or do you just help with the home Ed of your DC?

Cagliostro · 23/05/2019 08:32

Nope not a teacher just home ed my two (9 and nearly 12, both autistic and probably ADHD with various LDs) although I have tutored other HE kids in maths before. And piano... need to start again but all confidence disappeared since having the baby

Sorry about the cyst curvy that’s pants :(

Thatsnotmybaby · 23/05/2019 10:27

Sorry to hear you have been feeling down @mrsg, maybe the new boss is just lashing out if she is new in the role, and knows you are finishing up soon? That doesn't make it ok of course but she might be thrilled to have you back after your maternity leave!

Busy here trying to work out a budget for home renovations/extension, thinking about what we can spend, what we want to spend, how cleaned out financially we are prepared to be etc, lots to consider.

Girliefriendlikescake · 23/05/2019 10:28

Morning all, had a lovely time at Chelsea flower show ystd, was perfect weather for it and I loved seeing all the beautiful gardens. Did some celeb spotting, will try and upload a couple of pics later!! Managed to get on the wrong tube on the way home, had a mini melt down at the station when I realised what i'd done but managed to get myself together and work out what I needed to do. Luckily had left in good time so wasn't late for my train home.

Spent £25 ish on some bulbs and food which I didn't think was too bad.

Cag I'm sorry to hear you're having a shit time atm, the whole system is designed to put people off claiming and is so wrong. One of the many reasons I hate our current government.

Happy glad you're feeling a bit better this morning, its ridiculous that some people think it's o.kay to behave like this. They are worse than the teenagers my dd goes to school with.

Curvy eek, thats quite big, what are they going to do?

Have pulled my head out of the sand and looked at where my money has gone this month, its pretty shameful tbh £93 on toiletries Shock is one shocking example. There has been a lot of extra's this month including various bdays, the dentist and paying for our holiday next week but a lot of wasted money esp on buying food when out.

Need to get myself more organised and reign in for next month!!

On the plus side I did manage to save more than usual thanks to a little pay day bonus and I haven't spent as much on the garden as i thought I had.

Today I am going to pop into town, i want to go to Primark and see if there are any clothes for my holiday next week I am also planning on popping to Morrisons for a few bits I can't get in Aldi.

happytobemrsg · 23/05/2019 11:28

Thanks Thatsnotmybaby & Girlie. I’ll try to not let the cattiness bring me down.

Thatsnotmybaby we have gutted our house & garden but the most recent thing was the loft. With expensive finishes it cost us about £50k (loft bedroom, large ensuite & walk in wardrobe). Took 3x as long as quoted but our builder, while good, was extremely unreliable. What are you planning on having done? It was hell loving through it at the time but I love it now.

Girlie my biggest spend is always food out. I think the fact that we are spotting patterns in our spending is a good first step in itself. It made me do a lot more packed lunches this month.

Hospital appointment went well, I don’t think they will call us in again which is good. Consultant was very happy with DS & his development etc. Hoping for a relaxing rest of the day today. DH is working from home so I’ve got DS.

darkriver19886 · 23/05/2019 12:25

Hey checking in to hold myself accountable. Went to KFC which was pretty rubbish and had to replace my webcam. (I do a regular video diary and it as part of my therapy). I seem to be paying a lot in transport at the moment. £22 so far since Monday which is pretty annoying.

I went up to the polling station this morning and voted. I also spent a £1.10 at the bakery. Tonight I have writers group. Its usually £2 a fortnight depending on who is in attendance.

ememem84 · 23/05/2019 13:14

£5.40 on lunch. £4 of that was a salad box. And it’s huge. Yay.

Seminar on US tax this morning (yawn). But an ace free breakfast. The seminar was held in a naice hotel. So we had a choice of bacon rolls, pastries, fruit salad. I had fruit salad (strawbs raspberries grapes and pineapple - my choice), an almond croissant and a fresh orange juice. Le yum.

£20 on a voucher for money off a will writing service. In total this will cost dh and I £650 instead of £800.

WreckTangled · 23/05/2019 14:12

£39 suncream. Should last all year as that's 400ml.

Cagliostro · 23/05/2019 15:29

Just got off the phone to DLA. They read out the list of reasons they rejected... safe to say it’s a pile of wank that should be fairly easy to pick apart.

One of the reasons is that he’s not seen anyone since December 2017. Yes because there is no help available you shower of shitlarks, believe me he would be seeing someone if it were possible 🙄🙄🙄

lifelongfrugaleer · 23/05/2019 16:08

Ah sorry to hear that curvy.
Good you have the list cag. Computer says no...

£60 in New look but loads will go back as it's for shopping hating dd.
£2 pound shop.
£9.60 compression socks for dh birthday

Cagliostro · 23/05/2019 16:19

That’s an intriguing birthday pressie life are they patterned ones? I’ve toyed with the idea of trying some myself, you can get very cool patterns now.

I’ve just joined carers support, don’t know why I didn’t before really, I think the enormity of looking after 2 autistic (+) kids is finally getting to me

Cagliostro · 23/05/2019 16:27

Trying some due to my POTS by the way, not just because of the patterns 🤔😂

I’m going to be putting in an SAR at the doctors to get copies of letters they sent to CAMHS, hoping that counts as more recent evidence

Rightwayup · 23/05/2019 16:52

Girlie I have also overspent in May so will join you for a frugal June. Still a week to payday ahhhhhhh

ememem84 · 23/05/2019 19:09

Gym done.

Now for a lamb curry. Mmmmm.

moimichme · 23/05/2019 20:11

Moroccan veg and chickpeas with rice tonight - it was delicious if I do say so myself! Grin

Travel (work+pleasure) starts Saturday and I'm a bit anxious about the various train connections including Eurostar to go smoothly. Fingers crossed!

Cag that's shit, I really hope they'll see reason during round 2!

Glad all the wee ones seem to be doing well.
